It sounds really nice, and plays even better. The addition of the full USA bartolini pickups improves upon an already excellent package, and makes it a truly pro instrument. I entrusted this work to a highly regarded local luthier, and as ever they did a super job. It looks great, has a brilliant range of tones, and is pretty light to boot. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/MTD_KZ4_CherryB.html is the new unmodified version for sale at the moment. I think the modifications make it like a 4 string version of the model above this the ZX5. I still have the original factory pups and pre which will be included in the sale should you wish to return it to standard, although I think it is much better now anyway. Hard to put a value on this really. Without the mods they are £700 new. Obviously more with the mods, although clearly it is a buyers market. I wonder if £550 is a reasonable starting point?
