According to TalkBass threads, this is one of the best EUBs around. I for one have had the NS and KYDD and neither are nearly the bass this one is. It's basically a very, very good upright that happens to not project very loud acoustically. It feels the same as my carved acoustic, apart from being 5 string. All right - I'm now more motivated to move this.I found out I DID need 5 strings for certain gigs, but they dried up, and the upright gigs I've got left are local so everybody drives their own car. The pickup tone is very uncoloured, I've never had as good a tone from any pickup system I've had on the URB. Perhaps 4000 pounds shipped is a more reasonable price, after all.
