icastle Posted August 8, 2012 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Not an easy answer to this one I'm afraid. However, the amp itself looks to be 2U high, so that's your first measurement. Now the fun bit starts. The easiest way to find appropriate ears is to measure the width of the amp and find something the same size that you can buy ears for (although you will almost certainly need to drill new holes to mount the amp to the ears). If you don't have any luck with that then measure the width of the amp in mm. Subtract that number from from 482. Divide that result by 2 and you'll get the front length of the ears you need. So that's height (2U) and front length. The depth can be anything you want within reason - obviously you want the depth to at least cover the side mounting holes on the amp. icastle Posted August 9, 2012 Share Posted August 9, 2012 A shelf is usually the easiest method if you're not a keen(ish) DIYer. I usually unscrew the rubber feet and drill holes through the shelf that line up with the screw holes. Stick the screws back in minus the feet and the jobs a goodun...
