jdbrewst Posted June 8, 2012 Share Posted June 8, 2012 Sounding good, and certainly funky! If were to offer any advice then be careful not to rush your notes. It's difficult, especially with a physical technique like slap which can appear to require more motion or rigidity in the right hand, to relax sometimes. However, the feel (as in how urgent or laid back you are) is really important. Try playing it but sitting back on your chair, relaxing as much as you can, as though it doesn't really matter. Sounds silly but just a frame of mind like that might help you 'sit back' in the groove rather than jumping in too early with some of the attacks.
