zerofocus Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) Hi What do people recommend for new pickups in a 5 string P bass I have the stock ones still in it and they are a bit lifeless IMO I really like MM style pickups but I dont want to carve at my bass any suggestions on pickups for making that tone? nugget Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Hi I've tried Delano and EMG in 5 string P. I know a lot here dont like EMGs but I find that playing live they really cut through the band with a great tight punch. The delano has more overall tone though if run passive.
