Ukelele Salad Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) I bought this lovely bass Christmas '10. It was snowing, i nearly drove into a tree. Tried many of the collection at Bass Direct, took full advantage of Mark's patience and the lack of customers willing to brave the storm and came away with the [b]Clover Argo[/b]. It's a great instrument and I thoroughly enjoy its sound, feel and look. Now I'm selling it. If you're interested in the sob story that explains why it's at the bottom. I am disappointed to see it go and I haven't had nearly enough opportunity to play it. I hope that below I have linked to a photobucket album with some pictures and a video of a German man talking about one, and then playing it...eventually. A scour of the current asking price along with the instrument's very good condition and not very many playing hours means i'm asking for [b]£1000[/b] for this specimen. I've not sold on BC before so please forgive me if I am a bit slow in responding to any questions! Makes playing a 5 just a tad harder, especially for those bottom C's. Physio and exercises will help in the long run but for the time being there's no point me hanging on to something I can't enjoy. Plus, while it's here I'll be tempted to play it, and that would anger my physio! Seems to have been a spate of injuries reported on BC recently - we have to remember that music is a pretty intense physical experience which can hang us out to dry if we're not cautious.
