The design was made by Dave Reeves that later founded Hiwatt. It has 6 EL34. Particularity, it's an active EQ, you have to think about the bass/mid/treble knobs as gain knobs. If you turn it all down, no sound will come out of it, if you crank up only the mids, you'll have only the mids. Pretty unusual but you can achieve some amazing sounds. The preamp is a bit noisy, it's in the design of the preamp, Sound Citys are like that. Oh it's been fully revalved in august 2011. 750£ without shipping (I'm based in Paris, France) Cheers!
