A newbie here!

I live in Finland, am 35 yrs old, father of two kids and a bass player. I usually don't call myself a musician, a player sounds better (I have no musical education whatsoever).

My main axe is a 2003 Warwick Streamer JM. I also have a King Bass replica made by a finnish luthier, a Corvette Standard ash (awaiting electronics repair by a friend), and an NS Design NXT eub.

Amp stuff: MB LM2, Line6 LowDown 400 HD, Tech21 B410 (two) and an EBS Neo 112.

G.A.S. to the max :)

I play in a house cover band at a local crappy bar and in a gospel-irish-folk trio.

Important: Since I do not speak / write English on a daily / native basis, I kindly ask you to forgive me (and correct me also!) if I'm being impolite or rude in our future conversations. I consider myself a grown-up man with good manners and try to write like that :)

Guess that was about it. Feel free to ask.

Well that's nice to hear. The finnish school system has received quite good ratings in the recent PISA studies. All foreign tv series are broadcasted with subtitles here and teaching English begins mostly at the age of 9. Compulsory school lasts for 9 years of which foreign languages (mostly English, Swedish and German) are taught for 6 years.

Travlang.com has very good audio files in their English to Finnish section, you might want to check them out. Finnish is easy to pronounce, everything is pronounced exactly as it is written. Give it a try :)

Well Immo, the floors are sticky, the customers are extremely piss drunk most of the time and the atmosphere then... I'd never go there if I weren't a member of the house band. :)[/quote]
Well, in that case, you have an interesting venue to play in :D Still, more climate than my room I play all the time (but it also has sticky floors :D).
