Gallien Krueger rig - possible amp problem?

Hi,
Haven't been on here in a while so excuse my noob-ness! I am not so clued up when it comes to amps and can't really get into my local dealer to see a tech due to work commitments.
Bass-icly (arf, arf), my amp is making some strange noises, especially when the treble dial is turned up past 12 o'clock on the head. The sound I can only describe as sort of a warping, muddy sound and is only really present with an increased treble as stated before. The low end of the amp seems fine.
My rig is a Gallien Kruger RB700 mk2 with 410 RBX cab and my basses = Warwick Streamer Stage 1 5 and Warwick Thumb BO BN 5.
Any suggestions or ideas as to what this may be?
Thanks in advance.
