EMG Jazz set in ebony

Recommended Posts

Photo? What do the pickups say on the bottom? It should say EMG40 and then a letter. Are the pickups hardwired, or do they have the quick-connect? Are they the older type of quick-connect, or the modern solderless version?

What are these pots? EMGs are active pickups only, so the switch cannot be an active/passive switch.

The pickups seem to have been customised...set in some plastic of some sort so they would fit in Bartolini spaces. The SJ and LJ EMG are, as far as I know, standard Jazz shaped pickups.

The switch seems to be an on/off switch for the battery (taking the earth wire from the battery out of the circuit). EMG actives are active only and do no work without power.

Any more info about these pickups? Where did you get them from?
