Here's what GuitarGeek say about it: "It ranges from nasty and nasal to warm and thick, but unlike vintage fuzz units, the FZ-2 doesn't clean up nicely when rolling off your guitar's volume pot. Mode Two's fuzz is so completely over the top and I can see why it is the chunky choice of bands like the Deftones and Orgy."
