  1. These amps are in the same price range give or take a few quid, which is the best in terms of sheer volume, which has more heft, tone adjustment and will have the most headroom, I use a pair of Barefaced Super Compacts so will have a 4 ohm rig with easily enough handling for either of these amps.

    Thanks

  2. I have advertised my 2010 Fender Precision Deluxe on here but have had no interest so would anyone be interested in a straight swap deal for a Fender Jazz deluxe, must be the USA model and no older than 2010, I may consider a small cash adjustment for a newer model than 2010 depending on condition etc.
My Precision is in great condition with no dents or bad scratches, it does have extremely minor surfaces marks from use as expected but nothing that stands out, it plays beautifully and looks stunning in sunburst.

  3. Thanks all, I am only really concerned about the fit of a different neck, I would not want any gaps between body and neck at the body pocket which could arise from tolerance differences between the Jazz and Precision, at the same time I would not want to buy a neck that is too tight for the pocket, it would also need to be a Deluxe USA Jazz neck to keep the Deluxe spec of my bass .

  4. I have got a 2010 USA Fender Precision Deluxe and would like to swap the neck for the narrower Jazz Deluxe one, does anyone know if this is just a simple bolt on swap over or is there more to it with regards to body neck pocket size/neck angle, number of bolts and location etc, I would not want to be left with a gap around the body/neck joint or a neck that does not set up nicely,I would hope these parts are interchangeable .

    Thanks

  5. Everything went wrong today and I never had the chance to get into the shop to try one, I have not played a fretless properly before, I am now using an Ibanez SR1200 and love it, can I assume it is easy to go from fretted to fretless or are there things that you need to adjust in your playing, I am interested in your bass so will give it some thought and get back to you as soon as I can.
If I decide to buy would you take payment by Paypal and does the bass come with a case or gig bag ?

    Cheers

  6. I am selling my Fender Mustang short scale bass, its the Pawn Shop model in sunburst with very nice humbucker pickup, pearloid scratch plate and the addition of a nice pearloid thumb rest to replace the standard black one.
I have owned this from new for just under a year, it is in as new condition and plays and sounds great, it comes with a Fender strap and the original packaging.
These are £650 new so this one is a bargain .

Please phone or PM me for details

  7. I will, I am selling my Fender Precision 2010 Deluxe USA to fund an SR 1600 next, my advert is in the for sale section.

The controls take a bit of getting used to on the SR1200, there is no tone control in the passive mode as on the Fender, only volume and pickup selection/blend, at first I found this limiting but I have found that I can achieve good results using this feature and if I want more I can flick the switch for active EQ and also use the mid shift switch which works well in conjunction, I am trying to decide what to settle for with regards the active or passive, do I go purely passive and use the EQ on my amp to colour the sound or do I go active, set the amp EQ to all mid position and use the EQ on the bass to colour the tone, I am undecided ?
I love the neck on the SR1200, very slim and the fret edge treatment is great, these are brilliant value for money instruments, happy bunny
