1. The combo is still available, but I had to get a full service and clean-up which has hiked up the price, but it's made a massive difference and solved the buzzing problem. I'm open to offers but were talking around £600.
2. Afternoon, I have a few styles I play... one of the bands, is very aggressive on the tremolo strokes (heavy metal), my finger technique isn't up to speed on this so I've jumped ship to use picks for the time being. Both bass guitars are 34" 5-strings (35" next one for sure). I'm interested in a set of strings that will give me balance of tone and playability (If I can't have both, tone is more important), the current set I'm using are Rotosound, can't remember exactly which type or the gauge (I know that's bad). I've been looking at the DR DDT, which of the two types 125-135 do you guys suggest? Or do you have any better suggestions? Cheers, Joel.
3. I wasn't originally intending to split, but I think it's going to go that way now, since two of you are interested, can you PM me any offers? I will still need to work out shipping in one of those cases, it can be done but I don't have anything to pack it into for a courier. Thanks.
4. Hey man, I'll have to come back to you on that, I'd rather keep them together, but I'll check out how much freight would be for you. Update: Changed the first post around, I'd like to see if anyone wants them together first before I split. Thanks.
5. Still available, I'll consider shipping out by freight, within the UK. Make me an offer, I'm not so interested in a trade but I may be persuaded, I already have a new stack. Update: Should mention it's been serviced, it previously had a distinct buzzing problem, that's been almost completely resolved. Full interior clean-up, pots, cones etc...
6. Thanks for the responses, I think I'll flog the Rocktron and get myself a decent chromatic tuner, the TC Polytune looks good, forsaking the poly tuning mode because of my down tuning.
7. Morning, Do any of you guys know of any stomp boxes that can handle low frequency responses? I can never get one to respond to the low B or a down tune to A. Can the Boss TU-2 handle this? Update: I currently have the Rocktron X-Tune... Stay away from it... pretty awful. Thanks.
8. Rocktron Blue Thunder Pre-amp effects (1U) - £100 ono Excellent condition, has manual and U.S adapter (Handles UK voltage when used with UK socket adapter), the HUSH noise reduction and mass of effects all processed with 24-bit Motorola DSP engine. Trust me, you'll be playing with this for hours! Preferred pickup from Oxfordshire area, can post but I expect it to cost £8 to £10. Will trade... Ideally a TC Electronic NDY-1 Nova would be great! I'll consider another other compression pedals too. Rocktron Blue Thunder Thanks.
9. SWR Super Redhead Bass Combo (Pre-Fender) with Flight Case - 350watt Great condition, has been reconditioned (Cones cleaned, PCB conditioning and valve replaced), comes with a custom built flight case. All are available for pick-up in Oxfordshire area. [s]Should be noted there is a feint buzz likely to need a service, this is reflected in the price.[/s] If you want it shipped you will need to organise this personally. Following some feedback, the amp has now been fully serviced (With invoice) and the buzzing problem has been resolved, it was linked to a faulty capacitor in the power amp section, the amp is also now PAT tested and has a certificate. What makes this special is that the flight case means you can safely travel with this anywhere it's kept the combo is great condition, it has heavy duty castors and a very solid build. These flight cases are well over £250 to have custom made. If you tour this is a must! I'm after £600 ono. [Sorry price increase, but this is worth the money and it's now fully serviced] Will consider trade for a 5-string through-neck with EMG pickups or similar. 10. I'm after a good quality wireless solution, problem is I have two basses I want to use it on, one with 45 degree and the other with a 90 degree jack plug. I like the the reviews i've been seeing on the Samson Airline 77, but i'd have to comit to one type of transmitter, are there any solutions with both in the pack? Or have an adaptable transmitter? (Not a big fan of the pocket pack solution). In general though what's worth the cash? What do you guys use? Worth mentioning the vocals are wireless and one of the guitars is also (Shure & Sennheiser)... I don't want to get interferance from either. Thanks.
