1. I had a feeling this would pop up here. I bought a Ken Smith off the owner last week (see here) He's a lovely guy and found out he's a REAL bass enthusiast over a nice coffee! He's selling due to a large car bill. He's also selling a nice Alembic Europa 6 if anybody's interested.

Great guy and an amazing amp!

  2.
Looks great, well done. What is the string spacing?
I'm not sure on the actual string spacing but the neck is about as wide as my face so the strings arn't too close... a bit closer than your average 5 string.

  3. Thanks for the feedback guys. I gave the seller the £40 and he drove (devon to birmingham) and met me at a services where we did the deal, lovely chap. Got the bass yesterday evening, had this morning to get my head around the extra string and gigged it tonight through a TC RH450 + RS212, the tone/sustain is phenomenal! It is quite heavy and my left shoulder is feeling the strain but its sooo worth it!

Can anybody guess what instrument this guy plays in the band?

    :)

  4. I've had a 4 and 5 string KSD but I've just took the plunge and bought myself this absolute babe of a bass!

  7. Just want to let everybody know that i sent my old bass up to Jack Ellis in Manchester to get it playable again (warped neck, dodgy frets, electronics etc) and he went above and beyond what he needed to do! He stoned all the frets and a few of them were too low so he refretted them at no extra cost! He unwarped the neck, sorted the electrics and gave it a really nice set up!

Sorry if this sounds like an advert, I don't know him personally I just found him on google but you can tell he loves his job from the pride he put into my bass. He has some nice touches aswell like a 2 month warranty and a full documentation of the work hes done. He also arranged a courier to pick it up and drop it off too as I live in leicester, and his rates topped everyone I found in and around leicester.

All in all 10/10, couldn't have found a more helpful guy.

http://jacksinstrumentservices.com if anybody's interested, I highly recommend him!

and cut the jack off, would that work?? or am i missing the point?

The impedance on the cab says 4 or 8 ohms

  10.
I run a WT 500 bridged into a Barefaced Compact (sold my Eden cabs could'nt carry them anymore) and I believe the WT 800 is much the same. On the front is a button that you will need a pen or something similar to bridge the amp (pushed in is bridged)

If its an older amp like mine there are three sets of binding posts on the back the bridged output is the middle one (its not literally in the middle

The posts are 19mm between centres and I managed to buy a plug and make up a lead that fitted unfortunately I cannot remember where I got it from

Talk to bassbits see if they can help you out/make up a lead for you the only thing you must be sure of is that the cab you are using is the correct impeadence
get it wrong and your looking at an expensive repair I think. I will see if I can find what the plug is and let you know

    john
This is what I'm after! It has a little button on the front for bridged, and it has the little bridged thingy on the back.. I just need the cable i think. I don't know anything about impedance/ohms etc and dont wanna ruin my cab :/
