How much does this unusual, lovely bass weight? And how is the balance?
Edit: Also, scale length?
Hi, it's 4.3kg according to my bathroom scales and is 34" scale. And it's nicely balanced, both seated and standing.

This is sort of a bass and sort of a guitar... absolutely as new, immaculate and beautiful to play and hear. 27.5 inch scale length, currently has baritone acoustic strings but would be just as happy with baritone electric ones, piezo pickup and sounds immense. Weighs only 3.2 kg according to my bathroom scales.
£1750 plus shipping, or can be collected from High Wycombe or Marylebone station. They're about £4k new...

For sale due to an older Jazz Bass having come in and usurped it, this is a lovely player's grade 69 Jazz. Obtained in a trade on Basschat a while ago, I then had a professional nitro refinish done, including some delightful checking on the paintwork. Before I owned it it's had a replacement ebony fretboard with new binding, very professional job. I believe the pots and pickups are original, and pretty sure the bridge is too. Tuners are definitely original and are a little stiff but perfectly functional, they may benefit from some WD40 but not critical. Scratchplate isn't original either. Weighs in at 4.5kg according to my bathroom scales.
Comes in a very cool but very heavy 70s/80s semi flight case, and will be very heavy to post so pickup/meet up greatly preferred. Alternatively I can provide a decent old gigbag instead.
Can't upload pics here due to hitting my limit, if I can sort it out I'll add one here in a sec.

Very rare 1958 (first year of production) EB2 with original case (although case handle has come off).
No breaks, no repairs. All original apart from the pickup, tuners and bridge which were replaced by Gibson in the 60s according to the previous owner.
Sounds superb, very underrated basses and they really are a lot more versatile than a lot of people think - you can get a lot more than Jack Bruce out of these basses!
Pickup greatly preferred but can post via UPS if necessary.

By request, some gut shots (incl. 1982 neck and pot dates):

All original and rare as they come; V001xxx serial number and I have never seen another in Fiesta Red. This is the closest you'll get to an original 50s p-bass as they were made using the original equipment before Fullerton closed down.
Few marks and dings but generally in great condition. Sounds and plays amazing - and only weighs 3.8kg. Original hard case.
Would prefer collection/meet-up but I can post as I have proper shipping cartons.
Plenty more pics here as I've hit my limit on the upload:

Sad to see this go but I use my upright more than this and it's too nice to sit in the case.
Handmade in Woodstock, NY - absolutely beautiful to play, hear and hold, this is a Veillette Archtop, which retail at over $5k. Lots more info here: https://www.veilletteguitars.com/electric_bass_archtop.shtml
Mine has one cosmetic mark on the lower bout, it looks much worse in the pic than in real life, it's not flaking or wobbly in any way. Comes with the original Veillette gig bag. Lots of pics here:
Collection from high Wycombe preferred but happy to ship at cost, I have proper shipping cartons. Feel free to ask any questions. Ideally looking for a straight sale but may be tempted by something vintage.

Bought a case from Brian, excellent transaction all round, great comms, well packaged and exactly as described of course. Cheers!

If I had the money, this would be a nice accompaniment to my 1960 Coronet.
What scale is it?
30" - and it certainly would look lovely with a Coronet 🙂

One of only 17 ever made, 1962 Kalamazoo-made Epiphone Newport EB6 6-string bass with original Selmer case (although the case is in very poor condition) which suggests it was UK-supplied. The bass itself is in very good all-original condition and sounds superb, no breaks, no repairs, just reasonable wear and tear as you would expect given the age. Looks like a thumbrest was fitted at one point, don't know if they came with one originally? Anyway, it's not there anymore and so there are two screwholes on the front. A further comment on the case: it could do with some repair work as one of the bottom panels is coming away and it's not really in serviceable condition, not that I imagine you'd want to gig this.
It is hard to overstate the rarity of this bass, the Gibson equivalent (SG-shaped) is rare enough, but the Epiphone version is next to impossible to find. I've only ever seen one other (on Reverb) and that was a) in America and b) modified.
Only selling as I have a number of 6-string basses and not enough space. I may be open to part-exchanges but they will need to be vintage rather than anything modern. Given the value, pickup/meet-up only, I'm happy to travel within a reasonable distance.
Plenty more pics available but I've hit my limit on here.

You don't see many of these...
Absolutely beautiful and near mint condition 40th anniversary P-bass. One of only 400 ever built and never reissued. Most incredible woods I've ever seen on a Fender, from the ebony on the fretboard to the Birdseye maple neck to the quilt maple top.
Lace sensor pickups and Kubicki preamp. All original and includes original tweed case, certificate and case candy. The word 'top' has been written on the top side of the case which is actually quite helpful in making sure it's stood up correctly.
Collection greatly preferred, I'm happy to travel within reasonable distance, but could post if necessary.
Sale preferred but could be tempted by trades/px of basses or guitars, definitely prefer vintage items though.

Now £2250 if you come and get it/meet up

Recently bought two books from Lawrie, very prompt postage and great comms throughout. Highly recommended seller!

Beautiful EB0 from 67, plays and sounds great. Professionally refinished in nitro by Angela Arnott (guitar angel) and in very good condition all round, a few dings here and there, lots more pics at the links below as I am at my limit on here. You can just see where the nitro has sunk slightly into an older filled route but not immediately apparent. Only selling as I already have two EBOs and two EB2s!
Comes in a Stagg hard case which unfortunately smells of smoke (previous owner, not me). However, it does fit it very nicely. Alternatively I can provide a semi-hard soft case that's a bit older and a bit worn.
Collection/meet up only, I'm in High Wycombe but can travel.

FS Veillette Baritone acoustic/electric 6 string hybrid (27" scale)
in Basses For Sale

Either! It works very nicely in either of those uses, I tend to use it more like a Bass VI but I also have a 12 string version of this that I use more often - plus a couple of other Bass VI-type things. Chords do work really well though, especially as it's slightly shorter length than a bass VI
