1.
I'd be quite interested if i can get hold of the box, another question though is it an original made in england model?
unfortunatley not, this is the reissue GV-2 model. the original made in england model was made around the late 80's/early 90's.

Though this is still a great pedal, and in my view i think its a steal at 20 quid. The new marshall pedals are built like tanks too.

  2. can't go wrong with the SX basses, definently worth atleast double the money.
but if you want a cheap Yamaha RBX 375 5er i have one for sale here on BC. 150 posted so definently within your price range.

    cheers, Nick

It is a great sounding bass and im only trying to get rid of it as I need the cash!

not great pics, will get some more detailed ones up soon:

  4. ive found a distortion/od unit active in your signal chain can make the wah sound more full, i would highly recomend you try that to alter the sound on it.

  5. hey all, thought i might aswell add my piece to this thread.

Im 17 and been playing for 3 years in january, regularly gigging for 2 and a half of those.

looking at some of the equipment you guys have on here this all seems like cheap crap, but all i can do for the mo as i have just moved into my own place.

please excuse the mess, only place to put the equipment is in a bike garage! :)

setup is: Yamaha RBX 375 bass,
peavey tnt 115 combo with a peavey 4x10 cab.

pedals are : Digitech BSW, Russian big muff, marshall jackhammer, behringer chorus and a zoom multi fx. the other few pedals there that arent connected are a behringer flange and behringer phaser.

    Thanks for all the welcomes

    Gaz
ah cool not too far from me then, live just outside bodmin.

  7. Nate mendel of the Foo fighters, very solid player.

though i think dave grohl maybe a better bass player insome aspects though (listen to the probot album and youl know what i mean!), though it could be said Grohl is better than any of the other band members at their instruments!

  8.
i love it - i used it last night at my new band's practice and it sounds amazing (sorry tayste_2000 !!) !!!

it's not a pretty sound, very ragged, but i don't think that's what it's for...no appreciable bass loss and adds a nice roughness to the sound. i was using it solely on the single muff setting, AND ran it before a little big muff and the sound was frankly immense.

i've no idea who nick oliveri is i'm afraid...

for the price, i'd say give it a whirl
yeah must say the price did tempt me, can pick up one for 25 quid on the 'bay!

Nick oliveri is the former bassist of the Queens of the stone age, he played a p bass through an overdriven ampeg svt. just ragged gritty but not too ott tone.

    cheers, Nick
