3.
I did see the other guys thread about Pete Cornish cables, is there a link or price list for these cables.
www.petecornish.com
 4.
Thought I would spring for a new cable (the sun is shining!) Mailed Pete on Sunday morning for a price, he replied Sunday evening. I transfered the money on Monday morning, Pete built the cable and is shipping Monday afternoon. Service second to none say I! I believe we should do what we can to support local (UK) companies in our kit buying (Yes, I know my amps and cabs are Swedish ) If the cables are half as good as I hope, then I will change all my interconnects as soon as I can afford it
Fantastic! There's no other way to describe his service and products. Pete deals with the likes of Gilmour, Clapton, Page, McCartney, etc the list is endless and yet he has the time to reply to us "normal" customers and get the products out with in the week! Im waiting for my pedal board leads to turn up along with an extension speaker lead aswell. Expensive...YES Worth it ... WITHOUT A DOUBT!
 5.
Don't worry. You're hearing it. That's what matters.
I have to say it really is a big difference. Ive replaced my pedalboard return cable and only have the link cables between my pedals to change. Once they turn up i'll do an a/b test and post the difference. By the way the length of my previous cable (planetwaves) was 5m the new Pete Cornish one is 7m. My return cable to the amp is 4m instead of 5m (planetwaves).
 6.
With all respect, a cable will not boost volume, although a high capacitance cable will reduce highs and a cable with a bad joint may attenuate signal. Enjoy your new cables.
Maybe it just appears louder as the quality of sound is better, thanks for the advice tho.
 7.
Yes - I've got some. They are awesome.
Hi there, have you tried any of Pete's pedals?
 8.
Howdy, from another former Essex lad!
Cheers Mate!!
 9.
What were your previous cables ? T
Planetwaves. Have to say these leads are expensive but really do make a difference
 10. Hi everyone, just got a couple of Pete Cornish guitar/bass instrument cables. OMFG! the sound quality and volume compared to my old cables was unbelieveable. Volume and clarity were so prononced that i thought i had knocked a couple of dials on the ABM. Pete has offered to make bass versions of his pedals.... does anyone use any of them? Kind regards Marc

 13.
i have two oppinions of the basses you've mentioned.. 1. If you had kubicki and status before, maybe will be good to kep the whole 80's super instrument/headless vibe going, as you may be dissapointed wit the thumb.. 2. But the thumb is a great bass, and perhaps after a your hiatus it would be cool to go in a new direction not helpful i imagine lol
I gave a beautiful USA jazz 4 string a going over today at my local sweet shop (PMT) and fell in love with it, deposit paid!!! Hopefully collect on Friday....
 14.
All of the above mentioned, are top notch quality basses You could possibly add an original Steinberger,to your list If you're gonna sell/buy equipment ,you'd do much better here than flea bay.
There's a couple of great basses on flea ebay at the mo. I know it can be a rip off but sometimes the odd Jem comes along. Many thanks Marc
 15.
Welcome to Basschat. I had a break for a few years and it did my playing the world of good longer term.
That's reasuring many thanks Marc
 16. Hi there, im looking for some advice please. After a 10 year break, im getting back into playing bass after a failed attempt to convert myself into a guitarist. Having sold my gear on ebay recently and purchased an 1982 ABM 2x10 combo (which needs a good service) im left with a few quid to by a decent bass. Im looking at a couple of different one's and this is where i could do with some honest advice to help make the right descision. My main choices are all second hand: warwick thumb 4 string fretted. Kubicki ex factor 4 string fretted. Status s2 headed/headless 4 string fretted. I have previously owned an S2 and a Kubicki and loved the sound of both. My main styles/ influences are cream/ zep / floyd/ powerstation/ foo fighters to mention a few. Any pointers would be a great help.
