1. 800 firm, shipping and hiscox hardcase included. Uk only please.

Hi all,

It is with heavy heart that i have to list this bad boy and it's the second time i have owned this bass but it appears that the money gods are against me!

So, without further ado...

Spector Euro 6LX Exotic top bass. Maple Neck -Thru neck, Rosewood Fretboard, Alder/Walnut Veneer/Spalted Maple wings, and finished in an incredibly tough hard-wearing clear gloss. Spector TonePump active preamp (which is a hot hot HOT preamp, but sounds killer) and EMG pickups. This is an incredibly easy 6 string to play, the string spacing is perfect, the action is excellent, and has a good weight on it, but is perfectly balanced.

Apart from previous owners relocating the rear strap button during it's life time (please see pics) the bass is flawless.

Any try out welcome, bass located in Staffs.

Bank transfer or 700 cash on collection without Hiscox case.

2. Good day one and all...

Need to move this fella on as times is hard and a few ventures haven't come to fruition. Bass plays beautifully with no issues whatsoever.

Ding and scratch free...may have some slight surface scrazing here and there but nothing that a touch of T-cut and elbow grease wouldn't put right! (if your that fussy).

Comes with generic hard case ..(Not the Fernandes case pictured in the original sale thread).

Trade options coming soon.

I hope Paubass doesn't mind me using his original sale thread!? (His pictures are better than mine!)

This is an early Euro 4 (without the LX)
CRFM had dot inlays, not the crown inlays.
Euro differs from Euro LX that the latter has an alder/walnut/maple sandwich for wings whereas the EURO has maple wings.
(the Euro differs from the CR mainly in the inlays for the 4 strings, for 5 strings, the CR had 34" scale, the Euro 35")
Might be worth checking the OBP as these were to a certain number supplied with Aguilar OBP.

This is a very good bass.

Well, you learn something new every day, you are in fact 100% correct sir!

Please read below...

1993 - early 1999
NS-4CR, NS-5CR model numbers.
"SSD" Stuart Spector Design name and logo.
Dot fingerboard markers.
Most had EMG BT active tone controls.
Serial numbers are just 4 digits.

Mid 1999 'transition'.
Continued NS-4CR, NS-5CR model numbers.
Restart original "SS" Spector name and logo.
Addition of mother of pearl crown inlays and 35" scale on 5 strings.
Serial numbers are still 4 digits.

2001
Addition of the Aguilar OBP-1 circuit (at the end of the year).
Serial numbers are started over and have "NB" in front (NBxxxx).
Start model NAMES Euro4/5.
2001, or 2002...sometime early this decade.
Bridge changed to shiny polished gold.
At that time bridge material changed to zinc brass alloy, from solid brass.

2002
Beginning incorporation of the Spector TonePump circuit.

2004
Start of EuroLX models (alder back, walnut slice, maple top).

I'm guessing that's a NS4CRFM because the serial # is usually on the headstock if it's a Euro. It probably is stamped in the wood in the cavity on that one. Either way, if it starts with an NB it's a Euro. If it is just 4 digits it's a NSCR. It's got solid wings (Maple) so it's definetally not an LX.

My serial number states NB 2042
I originally purchased the bass some 4/5 years ago. OBP was the non adjustable Tonepump.

Many thanks for your input. :)

Is this the one you bought from me? If so, it has an EMG BT circuit in it rather than the Tonepump....
Wish I could afford to buy it back!
It's not the same one Gary, this has more of a bluerererer finish to it. :)

When you say 'no trades' I assume you actually mean 'will trade for Greco Thunderbird' ;)
:D Not quite what i meant Ben, although it does involve a trade of sorts! ;)

6.
I think It's an Euro LX model not an NS4... imo ;)
My understanding is that the CRFM had full maple wings (which this has) and the Euro had Alder, walnut and maple body make up?!

Im not sure of the year of this one but it may have been right on the edge of the switch over to the Euro which i think may of been 2004.

Then again i could be totally wrong and made a public idiot of myself!

7. Sale price £850 ovno - plus shipping.

Spector Euro (fore runner to the Euro LX).
