  1. Another brilliant discription , pmsl !! Make sure you all read it ..

I got gas for it but my leads wont work , its got a DIN socket output haaaaaaa!

Its made of quality woods , beech , pine and plywood .. The sort of woods we make garden sheds out of !!!

Im off to read it again.... Its sooooo funny

  2. You just reminded me ,a few yrs ago. My brother bought an Swr workingman 10 for £70 .. I was asked if i wanted to put an offer on a mint condition 70s looking Peavey bass that they had for ages.. I didn't know what i was looking at so declined . Anyway it weighed 4 tons..... They had it up for £240 .. I saw the same bass(not the actual one) on Andy Baxters site for £550 ..... Gutted - :(

    Edit...just checked it was a peavey t40

  3. I had one , sold it, then bought it back , then sold it .
Unbelievable build quality . It had lowest action of any bass i have owned , silly low !, like 1mm + at the 17th without any buzz or clatter anywhere ..

In a mad moment I did a straight sale to wunjo bass for only a bit less than you are asking but i broke even. They love quality jap stuff there , aparently it sells like hotcakes at the moment.

I think i posted the BC Nanyo owners manual and specs on here a good while ago... Check my old posts...

Bump for a quality bargain !

I have a morbid fascination with the place...

You can't beat a 70 year old woman dressed as Eminem or the classic shiny, red trackie bottoms with black slip on shoe combo👌

Me too ..... I always pop in to browse . I am sure one day i will find a 1962 fender jazz that has been re badged as a squire with a £145 price tag -:)

  5. In the old days before everyone was 'web savvy' you could get some real bargains in those type of places....

Now everyone is clued up on how much stuff is worth...Even charity shops ask market value for the more interesting things..

I remember my brother buying a cheap camera..... with a Leica summicron lens screwed on it !!!.....He was a happy man .....

Its the same !!!!!! So how can he have the front to call it a Fender?!?!???

  7. Climax blues band , they were one hit wonders if i think back to my teens...
Dont think the fact that it was used on their 'hit' would make me want to shell out for it .....

Now, duran duran's John Taylor owns a bass that would be worth selling the house for, should it ever come on the market ...

  8. " I'm reluctantly selling this as I am no longer playing in a band and this guitar isn't getting the use it deserves."

This i do not get... This is the sort of thing you read on gumtree ads for guitars in the £100 bracket where the kids got bored or realised that 4 strings are difficult after all .....

If you own a 68 p ... You must be of a standard where you dont just give up playing ... Surely not..

  9. Car/truck stickers are no no for me imho.
In the moto x bike fraternity its rife. we always used vans without any sort of stickers or the like..
There are true stories of vans being followed home by 'scallies' to find where you live, then they return in the small hours and steal your pride and joy from your garage...

I dare anyone to park a transit with a 'ktm racing' sticker on it in se london/ kent area...

Be honest , apart from maybe an odd tour bus . Have you ever seen a roadie for a major band driving a truck with ... We love Fender, gibson, marshall , etc splattered all over it ...

I used to work in film and tv . All the trucks and cars used on outside broadcasts / film sets are unmarked .....

  10. When they 'innocently' try to mislead those that are not entirely in the know....

Hypothetically ,my wife could bid and win this thinking she has the perfect present for me.....A MIA Stingray...( but I already have one unknown to her)

It clearly say's Sterling on the headstock ,neck plate and bridge......

All the other listings for the same type of guitar clearly say Sterling....

I am not knocking Sterlings ,I know they get great reviews ..

It's just that the difference between the new price of a sterling to a stingray is about £700 and I find this listing dishonest ..

Ps ,,notice how many watchers waiting for a bargain "stingray"
