Bassist from SYC here - apologies, we didn't intend to offend! We usually stay through to see everyone we play with, but as I'm epileptic it's sometimes more important for us to prioritise getting home safe than to stay. It was a bit of a rushed exit at Whitby so didn't get a chance to say bye - if we get anymore cassettes done then I'd be happy to get one to you
To add to the discussion - the attitude towards physical media now is quite strange... We're moving more towards CDs when it comes to putting out physical music, as alot of people tended to roll their eyes at the cassettes, especially when we played Whitby in November last year. I had someone quite patronisingly tell me 'it's not the 80s anymore' - we're a Goth band! People seem to only really be interested in buying vinyl these days - annoying, as it's really really expensive to get made. It's even stranger considering alot of people from my generation don't even have record players and tend to keep records in their sleeves and display them about the house instead. I don't see how that's any better than a poster, but to each their own.
