    I am selling my Musicman Stingray 3Eq in cherryburst. I really need the money and unfortunately it will have to go. It has hardly been played and has a Musicman hard case with it and a spare set of new strings. Asking for £790 plus postage or pickup can be arranged.     Hi may be interested in a trade for my Sandberg Ken Taylor 20th Anniversary string. Lovely bass but i'm just not getting on with a maple fingerboard. It has a bird eye maple neck and fingerboard and comes in an antique cream colour - an interesting combination. In perfect condition with Sandberg gig bag. Lovely sounding bass.     Hi Am selling a mania VB4 bass in natural walnut. This was originally active but has been altered to be passive, but could easily be converted back as all the cavities for the battery etc. are there. Plays beautifully and is well set up. Selling to make way for (hopefully) a 5 string.     Hi having had to return a Musicman Stingray to the shop as couldn't get on with the neck in the upper frets (found string spacing too wide for my hands), I played around with six different basses including a Fender Marcus Miller, a Fender Custom shop Jazz and a Sandberg Bullet in bubinga, I came away with Sandberg Ken Taylor in cream.     Hi Has anyone used one of these? I'm thinking of either getting one of these (been offered one at shop for £219) or maybe an Ashdown Electric Blue. Not sure which to get for a general purpose amp. Jonathon

    Hi Will post pics as soon as I get my camera back from work tomorrow. I got the red one with a maple neck and 3 band EQ. Even though I have quite short fingers and small hands i find the neck amazingly easy to use. Jonathon

    Hi Thanks for the advice. By chance went into local music shop with my wife and a friend and ended u coming home with the real thing. Once I played it I couldn't imagine playing anything else. Mind you, my wife wasn't quite as ecstatic as I was. Jonathon

    Hi I'm quite interested in picking one of these up and have heard that they are pretty good quality. How does the sound compare to that of a real stingray? Has anyone had any experience with these Vintage basses? Thanks Jonathon

    hi Thanks for that. Have altered the spelling. That site has my bass but no price. As far as I know they are not produced any more but were made in Vietnam. I have to day it plays and sounds better than any bass i've had before, although it's fairly heavy. Only one tuner is going. Jonathon

    Hi I lost all my basses in a divorce 5 years ago and have only just started playing again. I managed to pick up a Mania 4 string on ebay for £130 with a hard case and tuner which I was pretty pleased with. I was a little worried as I used to play a MIA Fender Jazz with EMG's in it and a Yamaha TRB5. I have been really suprised by how good this bass actually is but I know very little about Mavnia or even what woods its made from. It's quite a strange design as it appears to look like a neck thru but isn't. Does anyone have any information about this brand?
