    I’m wondering that myself too. It appears from the photo the leather goes underneath the bridge. I also wonder if the leather will take away some of the high-end snap. I guess all will be revealed when it’s delivered!

    Hi guys! Yesterday this popped up on my Facebook and I fell in love with it. admittedly, it’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but I’ve never been one for anything normal. I bought it from a lad in Italy (I believe he’s on here somewhere). I paid around £700 for it, not including the postage. I’m not interested in what people think it’s worth. I am, however interested to find any information about it or if anyone else has ever seen it before or has anything similar. For example: was it done as a limited edition in the factory (it says limited edition on the stock).. was it done as an aftermarket modification.. Whatever the answers are, I’m very excited to get this on stage because I think it’s wonderful. fyi - it’s not real snake skin I’m assuming it’s some form of leather wrap.

    So I’ve just had a 2018 American original P bass delivered and it’s outstanding... big fat neck, plays beautiful.. BUT - the pickups… the 58 split with the two raised poles under the A string. It doesn’t work for me… I play stainless steel strings and the A string is ridiculously loud in comparison to the others. (I have set it up to accommodate it but I’m not happy). Here’s the thing …. The a string has a much more clanky, clear and aggressive tone the other strings which kind of sound sterile and dull in comparison. I’m looking for a pick up recommendation that will give all four strings the same clank and grind my A string currently has. I still want the classic P bass tone. I don’t want heavy metal type pickups as they lack dynamics. I have another bass with geezer butler EMG in it.. it’s too compressed and smooth- maybe that will help understand the tone I don’t want. thanks guys

    For sale is my 2016 Fender American Elite Jazz Bass, made in Corona, California, finished in 3-Tone Sunburst with maple fingerboard. This bass is in genuine 10/10 condition — no dings, no marks, no issues. It has been extremely well looked after and is exactly as it left the factory. It comes with the original Fender Elite moulded hard case, which is also in excellent condition. I did consider converting this bass to passive, but ultimately decided against it as I didn’t want to alter or “ruin” such a well-designed, high-end instrument. It deserves to stay exactly as Fender intended.
