Sorry if I missed it but is this with a j retro or not, looks like the original pre in the pics...

    Love the story BTW @wombatboter

Indeed, that was the idea to have this custom made J-retro... an improved  pre but as easy to manage as the original MM has on his bass.

This is just a nightmare for me... sooo many options.

  2. Hi all,

Up for sale my almost brand-new Fender Japanese Marcus Miller upgraded with a custom-made J-retro preamp and a pickup cover.

The bass is simply mint, no dings or scratches, in a spectacular Olympic White finish.

The preamp includes a really simple active and efficient as the original Marcus Miller on his Fender.

Having used the j-retro in other basses it was too much-complicated.

So this one this is soooo much in a good combination of the parameter, so you have volume for each pickup and a bass boost and a treble boost cut.

You can even set the EQ frequencies to wrap around with the 2 sweep pot inside the preamp under the pickguard and adjust the gain with the little blue pot from 0 to 12 dB (currently at + 6db).

All details are in the original schematics by John East himself and will be sent along with the bass.

Also an original atelier black pickup cover as the one used by MM is included as well as the chrome original one.

Bass will be bullet-proof packed and sent in a Fender hardcase.

Trades: Only interested in passives FENDER 4-strings PRECISION or JAZZ basses.

    Cheers up!

  3. FS/FT Fender Victor Bailey 5-string fretless

Time has come to move this Fender Victor Bailey 5-string DJ5 to another home.

Words can't describe how beautiful this bass is to look at, and to hold, anyone who's had one will know what I mean, only reason I'm letting it go is because i'm after a 5-string Lakland DJ, and after all these years, I know now in my heart of hearts I am a Lakland fan. This bass is in MINT condition. Comes with original Fender hardcase, very light.

Selling it for € 1,400. As for Trades, I want to sell this to finance a Lakie DJ 5-string.

PM me or e-mail to [[email protected]][email protected]

    Thanks

  4. Thanks man... It's hard to believe...

    Let's remember selling/trade options:

Seeling for € 1,000 or trading it for one of the following Lakies:

    - Darryl Jones 4/5-string
    - Joe Osborn 4/5-string
    - Duck Dunn.

Depending on traded item value, shipping costs may be shared or not. Just let me know your offers by email or PM.

You show up beauty after beauty  !
    Have a bump on me!

BTW: What is the string spacing at the bridge?
Buenas Mr. octaedro, :)

Thank you for your kind words. Well, as far as I know the string spacing for the Yamaha is 19 mm. It is said that John Patitucci wanted the usual Fender Jazz Bass string spacing on his signature bass.

    Cheers!

    Joseph

Thanks for your kind words, Andy

    Well, forget the trade...
