I have had a problem with my 75 Precision with cracking paint which started after about 6/7 years (and I mean real cracking !) its so bad that I have had to cover the back with sticky back plastic to stop it snagging on shirts etc ...

Dont know whether to strip and have re-finish or just leave it, I added an additional Jaydee PU in the late 80s so far from original, routing could be filled in if re-finished- would like some advise as to what people think they would do ???, value is not that important as I won't be selling it..

  Hi there Bass community, I guess I have played bass from the early 60s, numerous bands and venues over the years but all semi pro pop and rock stuff....
  
  Current equip - 75 Precision, 4003 Ric, American Deluxe Jazz v string, Fretless Washburn, reissue Hofner V/Thin all through 90s Trace E 12 SMX 15"combo.
