Hi, I run a band playing a mix of jazz/blues/soul/funk/latin/middle-eastern styles, we need a new bass player. Rehearsals are roughly once a fortnight, usually Sunday afternoon, gigs on an ad hoc basis. As this is an amateur band there's no money in it, we play for fun. As and when we get to play some bigger venues I guess we might make a bit of money but that's not what this is about. I play sax and percussion and study jazz theory, and one of the band's aims is to help every member improve their musicianship, in whichever way they want. We use a mix of charts, lead sheets, our own transcriptions, and playing by ear, and include some originals. A lot of our setlist has a strong groove and relies upon good bass and drums working well together. If interested pls let me know, many thanks Dan
