These are the new RB flats... a direct remake of the old Maxima/ric strings from the 60's 70's, made by Optima who used to be maxima back then, made using exactly the same spec and they are amazing, proper old school thump. I have various sets of the original maxima/ric strings and they are as good.

This is an advance set of their new guage which isn't realised for sale yet. I got a bunch sent to me from Optima for testing and have some spare sets. You cannot buy this set on the shelves yet, will be released for general sale later in the year. Gauge is 96-75-55-40. These are fantastic true vintage flats, Nickel, and the new guage makes them the perfect tension. Not super floppy like TI flats and not tight like Chromes or Rotosound etc.

A lot of friend of mine have the G50 and some had the G30. Basically, the G30 is plastic where as the G50 is metal. Plus the G50 has better range. People complain about the flimsy G30, which is why I went for the G50. But totally your call.

Brand New - Optima 4099 Flatwound Bass String set, but these are a brand new guage that Optima haven't even released yet... They are amazing true vintage nickel flats and Optima have been testing these to go with there existing standard guage.

This set is great as it's flexible!! And has amazing vintage tone and feel. In my opinion the Optimas are the best sounding flat, now this new guage which isn't available in shops yet is so flexible as well but not floppy like th TI's
