Has anyone else come across or used this browser add-in?

    https://transpose.video/

It does pitch-shifting on YT video in real time. Which could be incredibly useful as our worship leaders never play the song in the same key as the one used in their example link. Not used it in anger yet, but I wish I'd had it last week

Desktop Chrome or Edge only, and seems OK on the privacy front.

Just added it to the browser but not tried it yet. If it works as you say I am going to spend alot of time with this.

    Thanks for sharing.

Wanted something like this for years

G&L L2000 if you want a few sonic options.

G&L L1000 if you need less sonic options.

G&L SB-2 if you find a tone knob too much hassle.

Like the above choices but Westone thunder if you want to find out why they are a good alternative to a P bass. Some of them make Fenders sound like a toy. Big but! They are heavy and definitely aint humble.

Right... just heard back from Dave. He's quick!

The bridge has been moved to where it should be. Setup is done. No refret necessary... the original frets live to fight another day!

The board is Brazilian rosewood 😃

He took the guard off and is under the impression it's the first time it's ever been opened up. For that reason he didn't feel the need to dig the pickups out. The pots aren't stamped on the bottom but I suspect they are stamped on the side as is sometimes the case. He didn't check, but if I'm feeling brave in the future, I'll open it back up to confirm. I'm in no hurry, though!

The 'burst has barely faded compared to what's under the guard. I definitely think it's lived most - if not all - of its life in the dark.

Heading off to pick it up shortly...

Fabulous old bass congratulations on your find.

These photoes demonstrate nicely that you don't need to add a load of shielding to a P bass cavity! By their nature the split pickups are hum cancelling and it works.

  4. What a F4nn1e!

I built a fuzz pedal years ago for my son using bits from Tandy or Maplins. Scary thing is the parts inside cost pennies.

We called it zee buzz box. It actually sounded rather good.

I might even have the little projects book it was in hiding somewhere.

I once opened an early round bodied fuzz face and found there was very little in there as well.

Happy days. Now everyone just reaches for a card.

Friday night not good enough for you? 🤣

Prices probably gone mental now, suppose that isn't helped by no easily distinguishing features so they'll just be classed as a regular USA bass.

Headstock end truss rod adjustment and melt at any excuse nito finish.16850015762517378717897450477472.thumb.jpg.759ea1c6f72cbcd9fd9ae1b65f3caf08.jpg16850016173723239002642746670726.thumb.jpg.5db81c690775f48b0ceb2955de32bcd2.jpg

  7. For years and years I did not like Fenders. In the last year I have bought A MIA Jazz. A bitza jazz bought on here (shown in the build diaries)

A 50 anniversary Squire P bass. A Honer LX 90 B (I was given) turned into a fretless P bass (also in the build diaries). A Very nice Bass collection powerbass I bought on here in the last two weeks. As well as other stuff.

I have over 20 basses (lost count again)

Recently I find myself unable to pick up a bass without going for a P 🤣

Thanks for sharing! I do love the way your services are put together, with very professional pre-service material etc.

The sound mix is also good and nice to hear the BVs clearly and to see their smiling faces.

In terms of the bass stuff, wow! If that’s the first time in some years on fretless you nailed it! Pitching sounded spot on. In terms of how it sounded though, it could have been a bit more “legato” for the material? (Imo) and the tone was strong on mids and hardly any low end (was listening on Bose QC45) which made it sound a little “clunky” at times rather than blending into the mix. I’d stick to the Spector!!

    Thanks again for sharing

Thanks for that. Andy who led it said previously he wanted to do it as a kind of acoustic thing hence my offer to go fretless or ubass for him. He also asked for held notes in certain parts and to the beat in others. I don't know where the bottom end went. Maybe just because I wasn't using the 5 string. I do just 12 oclock the tone settings on the little valve amp and the desk do thier thing with what's di boxed out of the effects send at line level.

I like the way we can share with each other on here and get encouraged and advised. It's good for me to get feedback from a pair of ears that wasn't there.

Sometimes when things could be better and peple don't say so, kindness can kill you 😀.
