Hi there - I opened the case and see that the power supply and Class D power amp board are an 'off the shelf" B&O design "ICEpower 200ASC". Wading through some of the documentation on this board boasts "Quiet running fanless operation". It is also a popular board to use in subwoofers and enclosures that do not have a fan. The board also has thermal protection circuits (that's what the red "protect" LED on the front is about). Note this is the power supply / power amp board only - not the Eden preamp & control boards - though the Eden boards appear to be out of the air circulation path. I am NOT going to say to disconnect the fan - but based on this you may want to do your own research and make your own conclusions taking into consideration how hard you are driving the amp.
