  1. I'd forgotten all about this.

Just had a wee play with it. It's great! Given how much adjustability the SA pedals have under the hood this is a very useful way to get an idea of what the pedals are capable of before buying. Very cool.

  2. Content does not get more exciting than this.

I have a couple of rounded grub screws on a Dingwall NG2 bass that require replacement.

They are imperial sized I think, and this is a problem for me, as I'm utterly clueless about the system. I've measured the screw as half an inch long and 0.13 inches wide.

Does anyone have an idea of where I might be able to source the screws I need?

  3. Personally I don't look for "genre specific" mastering. More of a consideration when selecting a mix engineer for me. The key I think is getting someone who specialises in mastering, rather than someone who does mostly mixing with a bit of mastering on the side.

My most recent project was mastered by Pete maher. It's not out for two weeks or I'd share it.

Very professional service at reasonable prices. His client list speaks for itself. Super experienced guy, with great equipment, and most importantly, the knowledge of how to use it.

  4. Bit of a thread revival but just wanted to post about this pedal having spent the last few days mucking about with one.

Its an amazing piece of kit. The bass presets are excellent, all very useful, and sound great for a whole range of different applications. So even if you don't want to deep dive into the nuts and bolts using the neuro app, there's plenty to go at.

I got one specifically for the dual band feature, which is also superb and very customisable. Does exactly what I want with the minimum of fuss.

The app is great. Works well for me on both laptop and tablet. If you're going to use it you'll need a basic understanding of how compression works. That said, it's quite a good learning tool - you can see and hear what each setting does.

Yes it's not very easy to make substantive changes to all features on the fly, so you'll want your presets dialled in before a gig, but as far as functionality and quality goes, I've not seen so much packed into a single compressor pedal before.

Kudos to source audio for taking their own path with their products. This and the eq2 are two of my favourite pedals.

  5. Hi Adrian - I posted this on Saturday: don't know if you missed it? Pasted below.

hey all. this is still here.

weight is around 3.8kg on my kitchen scales.

balance is good sat down and standing - like all Soundgear basses its very comfortable to play as long as the thinnish neck is to your liking. this one's only for sale as i've two of them! it punches well above its price in my opinion.

let me know if you need any further info.

  6. 100% correct about the bass in active mode. Bass/mid/treble is now bass/low mid/hi mid.

Since its a modern sounding bass anyway there is plenty of high end available without having the treble knob, and the hi mid control is lot more useful to me. I find the same with my dingwall, which has the same preamp installed.

I will double check about the tone control in passive mode.
