1. any bands out there that need a support band for originals gigs please pm me, we are a rock influenced band called the frenzy which has most members of a bradford band called suicide blonde. We have enough material to fill a 30-45 minute set. If anyone needs a support band please get in touch.

Thanks

2. For sale is my ampeg SVT450. It has served me great for the past year and 3 quarters. The only problem iv had with it is the fuse has blown a few times although not regularly, this is reflected in the price. It has been gigged a lot and has been around the country and over to ireland. Tradewise im up for whatever you have to offer and would be willing to make adjustments for cash for the right amp. Cash wise id say 275

3.
what shop is this fella? Looks very good on the amp front, most shops down here have sod all in the way of amps!

And well done on having a 610HLF - best cab ever IMO (Disclaimer : This is my opinion :) )
thats a pmt in leeds, they seem to have quite a lot of ampeg stuff in recently. that was when i first tried the mark hoppus out and went back every week to check it was there until i bought it haha

and i love the 610 its my best buy so far.

4. thanks for all the replies, its good to get other varying opinions on what i can do so ill take what people say on board.
i think lessons are gonna be on the agenda and buying a few books that have been recommended.

our site is www.suicideblonderocks.co.uk if anyone cares :)
but thanks to all who replied

5. why is it that im at a certain point in my bass playing that ive come to a point where i dont seem to be getting any better.
i practise regularly and get every week, are there any tips on what things i should learn. i cant slap bass very well and i want to learn a lot more about theory.
so i was hoping that someone on here could point me to somewhere that i could learn online and handy youtube videos ?

thanks

Ian

6.
How would you say this bass compares to other MIMs of the past and other breeds of Fender (MIJ, MIA)?

I'm itching to get one of these new models but there's no chance I'd be able to try one before buying where I live. (I'm planning on swapping out the Seymour Duncan and putting in a Nordstrand NP4 and a set of flats).

Cheers,
Bob.
id say it plays quite a bit better than my MIM 70s classic
and it holds it own against some of the other breeds.
i cant comment on MIJ as i haven't played one but ive played a few MIAs and American deluxes and id say it gives it a good run for the money
i personally think its worth every penny and it was good to gig when i bought it and gigged the whole weekend with it no bother
so i would recommend it

7. cheers ! :) im hoping to record some soundclips and videos soon too.
i was really surprised how good it was when i first tried it out and to say its only a MIM
its absolutely phenomenal

8. On saturday i was out around leeds just window shopping and decided to go into carphone warehouse.
I went in and was offered a great contract for the Iphone 4 and went through all the malarkey to sign up only to find out my card has a glitch and wouldnt process so in a flurry of anger and disappointment i walked out of the shop and went to look at basses. Having already played the bass in the shop before i went in and it was still there and thought well......... why not buy it. its safe to say i walked out a much happier person and im very grateful for my card not working as i now have an amazing new fender mark hoppus sig
