(Not sure if this should be in the "gear" section?)

A simple question really, are those tuners that clip onto the head of the guitar/bass/whatever any good? eBay is full of 'em but there seems something inherently dodgy about the whole idea to me... dunno why.

I might be interested... what's the bottom end like (just wondering how a 2x10 compares to a 12 or 15" driver)? Please get back to me if you can and see if we can work something out, it sounds like a good deal.

Good questions (I should have put them in orignally!).

Budget is £400 max.

Gigging - yes, but usually with DI into a full PA as well.

(Just joined the forum, but I've been reading it for quite a while)

I'm looking at getting a new combo, and have narrowed it down to 2 (I think -- but I keep changing my mind!).

Fender Bassman 150

I really like the sound of the Ashdown, but the Fender has some nice touches (including the 'kickback' shape -- does anyone find that useful?) so I'd like some opinions if possible... so fire away!
