i tried a bass big muff today! it was quite cool! especialy considering it was 54quid!! against 240 off for this sansamp. id like to try one but i dont think iv seen one in stock anywhere:/ will it give a dirty sound suitable for rock. i realy dont want distortion just dirty!

i use the di on the back of my amp. it will suply the sound that is beeing sent to my speakers to the pa system so "my sound" is coming out the pa speakers. i cant see anythign going wrong with my amp as its extreemly reliable so dont see the point in a seperate di. if you dont have a di out then get yourself a di box. it should have 2 outputs. 1 for the pa in the form of an xlr and one in the form of a standard jack (same type that goes into your bass) that can go straight to your amp. i hope this helps!

i met guy at mansons guitar show in exeter a month ago. got to hvae a go on his 64 jazz. yeh the pink one that john entwistle used to own. it was sweeet! the mansons guy between me and guy was very on edge when i pu it on and took it off hahaha. hope you guys enjoy the show! he was very funny when manons were interviewing him!

hey everyone! i am thinking about getting a tech21 sansamp bass driver deluxe. iv never tried one as my local music shops dont stock them or any other sansamp gear and as far as i can see theres 1 video on youtube with it in (at namm 08 i think..??) anyways. does anyone have one. whats it like? im basicaly wanting to add dirtyness to my bass. i dont want to over distort it or add too much effect. but id just like to add some dirtyness to my bass for some of the tracks in my band. from what i can see it will improve my clean sound and give me the option of using 3 channels with i asume programable difrent levels of distortion/dirtyness? on 2 difrent guitars. so your thoughts and opinions on this item please! iv heard its good. but thought id get the opinion of some fellow basschatters before comiting to buy! thankyou! i am going to be buying a second hand amp very soon. i just wanted to know what bad stuff to look out for. as far as the person im buying it off is concerned its in prestine condition.... bought in 1997 and giged 5 times. its an ampeg svt classic valve head and two 4x10s. just wanted to know what to look out for problems wise. its not been used for 10 years or so! and iv never owned a valve amp and dont no much about them other than they are the bees knees! so have they become redundant as they have not been used for over 10 years. or will they be as new becuase they havent been used. i no they need to be replaced after a while. so yeh is there any hum i should be listening for or anythign like that? if there are problems how majour will they be and how expensive to fix? eg a new set of valves etc thanks!
