I bet it sounds fantastic too! Didn't they do a Manson Kestrel model about that time as well...?
I spoke to Mansons and they said that this model preceded the Kestrel, so It's quite early.

  2. 1994 Fender '54 Stratocaster, USA limited edition made for Fenders 40th Anniversary. Excellent condition, comes with both cases and the booklet (It was issued with a repro of the 1954 Fender Stratocaster catalogue).
Swap for a USA Fender Precision in Black, Maple, Black or an American Vintage '57 Precision Bass.

  3. Excellent condition flame top '59 Les Paul Standard from the Gibson Custom shop. Heritage Cherry Sunburst, aged plastics from Fatboy guitars, Bareknuckle Mule handwound pick ups (black & white zebra coils if the covers are taken off). Swap for a 4-string Fender, Warwick Thumb, or Wal bass of similar value (or a cheaper Fender bass and a light 300w+ combo).

  4. Hi Everyone

I'm looking to swap my mint (practically unplayed) Japanese import '62 Fender Precision bass in Old Lake Placid Blue, Tortoiseshell scratchplate, USA pickups, hard case, Eden WT300 head in its carry bag (the transfers on the front are starting to come off, otherwise a great amp) and a mint Aguilar GS112 cab (with Aguilar cover).
Looking to swap the lot for a Gibson or Fender USA electric guitar.
    Sorry, I won't seperate.

    Thanks for reading!

What makes guitarists want to become bassists?

I've never been a guitarist so I don't know the thought process. Intriguing stuff.
Hi Paul
I've got a wide range of music that I like to listen to, and if I were looking for a band in any particular genre, it might be guitar that I would want to play rather than bass or vice versa. For instance I love 50's rockabilly, but I wouldn't want to play bass, It would have to be as a lead guitarist, whereas if it were a soul or Motown band, I would only want to play bass, playing soul guitar would not interest me at all. The players that made me want to play bass are mainly JJ Burnel, James Jamerson and Steve Currie from T.Rex.
I had listened to and admired bassists for many years, but as I had spent so much money on guitars (I had about 15 top quality guitars at one time and they must have cost me about 25k), it seemed crazy to suddenly want to play bass, but I swapped one of my guitars for a MM Stingray and haven't looked back so far.
I'd like to get a few more basses, but I'd always keep some of my guitars, it gives me twice the scope bandwise.
Bandmates have said to me 'Why the hell do you want to play a bass?', I really don't know, a well played funky bassline just appeals to me somehow.
