Total Watts

1. Hi. Sorry, Total stranger who happened on the thread. Im 63 (gigging since 15). Unfortunately my spine is calcifying and I can't stand up any more and will lose all bladder and bowel control within the next five years. If its any help i can tell you my basses have gone from two to nine, I've taken to learning all the bass lines I've loved over the years but never played live. A good friend of mine took me to meet Dennis Dunaway (absolutely a brilliant guy, no ego, stunning bassplayer) and it reaffirmed in me what a stunning instrument tha bass guitar is! Whatever your reasons for hanging up the spurs don't do yourself short. The very fact you opened this thread (imho) shows you aren't ready. Change the parameters, not the instrument. Very best wishes to you.
2. I'm looking to raise some cash to help cover the price of my new bass, so no sensible offer refused
3. 'v been playing since I was 13. I did my first gig just before my 15th birthday and loved it! I'v gigged ever since then doing all sorts of jobs. I am lucky enough to still earn my living by playing my bass. I really dont mind what sort of music I play as I still get a buzz out of playing the bass. The gear I am currently using consists of a pair of Cort Artisan C4 basses (one fretless) and a battered Electro/acoustic put out by a generic company called Alliance (good action, good tone, strong build). My amps are a fender 250 bassman 1 x 15 and a line 6 150 1 x 15. Both of these amps spend a lot of thier lives D I'd. I have to say the fender is the better of the two for my needs but they both link together well. I'v had various basses as you can imagine these consist of Musicman (3) Alembic (1) Fender (lots) Gibson (2) and lots of others but I have to say I'm pretty taken with these cort basses. They seem to be every bit as user friendly as the Yamaha BB series basses but more high end, well worth a try! Thanks for reading, good luck! Paul.
4.
For sale Ibanez SR700 as new. I have gigged this bass only once (youtube "Mark Thornley Blues Band" Burnley Blues Festival http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKYD5FFHF8g) The bass is in mint condition no scratches or bumps. My reasons for sale are two cort basses that have come to live with me and my wife has threatened to kill me if I dont clear some room! The bass has two Bartolini mark 1 pups and good quality hardware and construction. From what I'v seen of this particular model it appears to be selling for between £450/499 (GAK etc) so I am looking for offers in the region of £380 Unfortunatly I have no hard case to offer in the sale. I would be willing to travel to meet the buyer (I am based in sunny lancashire). You can contact me either through the site or if you have any questions you'd like to ask call me on 07544666313 Cheers, Paul[at tachment=34022:DSCF0011.JPG]
bump
