I play in a metal band, therefore my basses are pointy.....
Quality of tone is not as much of an issue as volume....LOL -
Did somebody mention Vmax?

Travelled down from scotland to London to see them a few years ago, superb, but them again I do like my novelty acts.
Saw a band in New York called Tragedy, a heavy metal tribute to the Bee Gees, another excellent band.... -
I really enjoy GD but am getting a tad fed up of the ecomentalist types, I want to see some originality and proper design, not fecking straw and recycled bottles.....

One of the guitarists in Slipknot playes a Telecaster so make and model is prety irrelevent now.
Me?
I just like pointy... -
Happens to me all the time (probaly due to lack of practise).
The only folks that ever notice are...
a - other bass players
b - my other half (just from the look on my face)
c - one of our guitarists
Nobody else notices at all.... -
Have a Friday bump from a Laney fan...

The chequie plate flames are pretty amazing, laser cut?

Nope, 5 hours with an angle grinder and a file. The rest of the band hate but I love it.... -
Nice to watch but the most impressive bit was the guy with the glue bottle.
Still wouldn't have one though.... -

Never used inhouse gear (apart from PA) so decent parking, nice WIDE doors from bringing in kit in, Ground floor is possible, decent sized rooms, a toilet and a wee bit shelter outside for a fag mid practise, a wee selection of consumables to buy incase of the inevitable....

Have a midweek bump from a Laney fan.

I'm another one for the Dava Control picks, bit of a mare to find them though so when I do see them I buy lots of them.....
-
For the record I am a music buyer, just thought it was funny -
Wow, what a difference. Nice one.

On the subject of spare basses?
I would rather look at it than look for it.
I always take one... -
Mmm....pointy basses.....
-
Go and buy a lottery ticket right now!!!!!

[sub]I use a Dava pick, absolute nightmare to get hold of but they are both thick and flexible.[/sub]
[sub]Theye have a strip along the middle which is really thin so depending on where your thumb is they work as a thick pick, or a flexible pick, or a mixture of both.[/sub]
[sub]Sounds wierd but having tried nost of them I found this was best suited to my playing...[/sub]
