1.
You have an Arbor? What colour's yours? Do you have any information on them? I have flats on mine at the moment and it sounds awesome.
I also know very little about them, as I acquired mine used in the early 90s.
It was black originally and I have roundwounds on it. It's capable of an almighty growl!
I only use mine for recording, so don't have a problem with the weight, but if I took it out to gig, I'd be seriously considering getting a back-up.

  2. Here's a neat little tape delay- very nice for getting things to sit in a mix.

    Ooo- lovely!

I used to have one of those in the late 80s, early 90s. Lovely instrument. For some stupid reason I sold it for peanuts.

  4.
Mint!

If you're at a loose end this afternoon, me band's on at the Maggie Bank at 4pm... :)
Ah- thanks for the invite. Couldn't get though coz I was spending quality time with No.1 Son... walking in sunshine and then shooting droids, Star Wars stylee!

  5. Well thanks for the warm welcome you chaps!

Makes a nice change to meet local types. Now, full of caffeine and lured by the gorgeous sunshine streaming through the window, I am very uncharateristically going to do some gardening... which will probably involve removing a load of neighbour's cat poo!
Ah the joys of impending springtime! :)

  6.
I'm guessing Tynemouth, but you don't want to say in case we all think you're posh.

A hearty welcome from me. Looks like the Basschat Tyneside Mafia's expanding rapidly!
Ah, would that it were, would that it were!
Most definitely west of the border!
I mich preferred it when it was called The Ridges...
ah yes... of course I'm much too young to remember that :)

  7. Just saying 'hello' from the currently cold, windy and wet, North East coast of England, near the mouth of the Tyne.

Been registered hear for about six months, but erm, forgot!

Anyhoo, I'm a guitarist and part-time bassist. My bass playing is limited mainly to recording, so I don't have a bass rig as such.
Bass-wise I have an old Hohner Arbour PJ type (my No.1), Fender Jazz (Mexican '92-ish) and a Hohner 'violin' copy (from 1991), as well as a borrowed Deusenburg Star bass. These go straight into the PC and then into IK's Ampeg amp model.

Fave bassists: Lemmy, Bill MacCormick, Mike Howlett, Les Pattinson, Paul McCartney, Jack Casady, Geezer Butler, Colin Moulding, Steve Kilbey and probably loads more.
