Im wanting to get a passive bass. I play most styles but i really like Chris Woods tone but at the same time i like Ben Kenneys tone. Ones Jazz ones P. What would be best for the tone on the bass solo "day of the baphomets" by the mars volta?

Gona be gettin a new bass. yay! Its gona be a jazz body but i aint sure whether it should have JJ or PJ pickups. Anyone able to help me decide? im new btw so hi everyone
