1. Selling my GK head after buying it from a user on here back in January.

Am looking for £250, can't say fairer than that. Had it serviced last month.

No rackcase/ears but they can be bought from thomann for not that much.

I'm based in Northamptonshire if anyone fancies a go!

    Now withdrawn from sale!

  2. I can't really justify hanging onto this bass anymore, as my 6 and Geddy get much more playing time so I figure it'd be right to sell (and there's a berg cab I really want :))

This is a 04/05 model P/J pickups that I upgraded to Duncan SPB-3 and SJB-3b pickups, though I also have the original ones (which were a standard MIM P pickup and a vintage noiseless jazz) that i'll also throw in. Also has an active 3 band EQ.

Cosmetically it's in very good condition despite seeing it's fair share of gigging (a testament to it's quality I think!) it has a few headstock chips which are hardly noticeable and some wear on the neck, but it doesn't affect playability at all. I recently had the electronics rewired and tidied up so it's all in great condition!

I'll also throw in a (unused) ritter hardshell case.
Now, how about £350 ONO for all of that?

    and an action shot!

It's VERY likely i'll sell if I get the offer, but I labeled as feeler just in case some other deals fall through...

  3.
how much were you thinking for the cab?
Say £300?

My problem is I need to secure myself another cab before I let this one go, so it may require waiting a bit unfortunately... That's why I preferred trades, but I have a few people interested in buying the cab. So hopefully I can find myself a new one asap!

Also, have withdrawn the head, just the cab for sale now.

  4. So i've decided I need to change my rig around. I bought this from these very forums about 6 months ago and they all work fine and sound great, I just feel like a change.

I would rather trade just due to the fact I can't really be without a rig for too long but I may be persuaded otherwise.

2x12 is in great condition, few marks in the tolex and the dust cover is a but scuffed up but all great. Also have the speakon cable.

Sorry for the bad quality pics, more on request.

For trades i'd be looking for bergantino/aguilar cabs, obviously with cash from me as well.
If you'll just be wanting to do straight up/down patch number changes with the foot controller, how about Tech 21's MIDI Mouse? It's stomp box sized, does the job perfectly, can be picked up for peanuts on evilBay.
Cheers. looks very interesting. Hopefully i'll give Doods system a spin at the bass bash (if he has no objections) and see how it all works and how I plan on using it.

  6. I have a cunning plan m'lord.

Would it not be a huge amount of fun if we could perhaps bring some of our drummer buddies down and set up a drum and bass jam sesh? My father has an electric drum kit I could probably persuade to let my bring, and we can run that through a bass rig and just have a cool little jam going on.

I don't know wether that'd be against some public performance laws or something but if people like the idea it would be great fun!

(P.S. Kudos to those who get the blackadder reference)

  7.
HA HA!!! small world, yep ma good mate Pin! That's cool! She's a wicked guitarist too!
That she is! I also met Jamie at a Biomechanical show once too, great guy and guitarist! Can't wait to hear what you lot come up with!

  8.
My TC and Roland FC200 will be at the Bass Bash at the end of March. I'm also gonna ask my Guitarist if I can take his new G System for a spin at some point, as it does look rather enticing!!

    Dan
Excellent, i'll be there at some point.

Would that guitarist be Pin of Sikth? His girlfriend recently jammed with my band (Overture) and it's looking like she'll be joining pretty shortly. Small world!

  9. A shame you're not attending the bass bash! Would've been great to try a stick out. Even though i'm no current financial position to buy one.. one day.

And I don't see everyones beef with what went on with the asking price, it was clearly an honest mistake, and I don't see anything bad about £900 either. Though bnt, I do recommend you edit your initial post to avoid any confusion.

  10. My band, Overture, are opening for rock legends Diamond Head in April. A huge influence on Metallica, megadeth and many other band (the former having covered five of their songs during their career) this is sure to be a great show.

Also on the bill are prog rockers Audio Einstein/The calling and local band Still Remains (The UK one, not the US metalcore band)

if you fancy tickets message my band at www.myspace.com/overturemusicuk or PM me on here, i'm sure we can sort you out a good deal!

    All the best.

  11. I'm considering making the switch from the mass of pedals at my feet to a lovely neat rackmounted setup with a midi foot controller or something similar. Hwowever, I seem to be at a bit of a loss in finding the sort've unit i'm looking for.

I'm looking for a rackmounted multi-effects processor that has all the common effects integrated, chorus, flange, delay etc. with possibly a built in compressor and noise supressor. All with a budget of around £300, used is certainly an option.

I did look at the line 6 bass POD, but I fear that all the preamp models would go to waste due to my GK rig giving me all the tone I need. I've also heard things about the Lexicon Mxp G2 and the Boss VF1 but they both seem to be guitar orientated units and I can't attest to how they handle the thunderous low end of the bass.

Can anyone offer me some guidance here?

  12.
May be a bit late to ask but is anyone going from Nottingham? Or Nottingham locale? I'd like to come but would need a lift to do so. So if anyone is feeling generous and has space for one + one bass that'd be much appreciated!

If you do make it down feel free to bring the GL! :)
