hey. Did you swap out the pick ups? the original ones didnt have duncans in. also where in london are you based?

Yes, I've had dimarzio's and seymour duncan's in there, but i think the originals have most character and would sell it with the originals or the seymour duncans. I'm based in southwest london

  4. Bump, still here, probably will be forever but in case someone is looking for a blue P bass, there's one still here :)
I've also got a new Edwards P bass in Olympic white that I wlll also be selling or trading, but I'll make a new thread title for that.

  5. Anyone know what strings he used? It sounds like rounds on some and flats in other songs. The white bass he still uses today seems to be strung with d'addario rounds but the bass he smashed and is on museum display seems to have flatwound strings with red silk so probably roto flats.

  6. I got one from earlpilanz, vintage dark red tort or something like that, it was pretty good in the end. Again, just a little too much yellow but it is around the knobs and not so in your face. Other than that, I'm perfectly happy with the pickguard

  7. I'm a new bassist looking for a band to play with in London. I've been playing guitar for about 20 years and have played Bass previsouly in 2 bands.
Now I'm getting back into the bass and practising a lot. I'm into all kinds of music, but lately I've been grooving to rock stuff like the Cure, Pixies and the Clash. I have also been learning some Motown, Elvis and the Scorpions basslines.
I'm not too fussed about the type of music or gig, I would just like to play loud with musicians.
    Based in SW London
