Sorry to hear that.

Out of interest, what cab were you using? Are you sure it's the amp that's blown and not the cab? Have you tried the amp with another cab to check this?

As said above, please keep us posted.

    Hi all,
Sorry for late reply,i was using the tc electronic 2x10 (the cheaper more squarer type version),the bh 500 amp seems ok,but i had an incident tonight with the same cab, while at practice i was using my swr sm500 amp on the cab (running amp in bridge mode with vol well down) the tc suddenly went on fire, after initial shock of whats just happened we removed handle and looked in,it was still smoking and seemed to be a lot of damage, when i plugged bass in all i heard was a faint fart type noise but nothing else,i really liked tc electronic stuff but im slightly perturbed by this turn of events.

  2. Hi all,ive recently bought a tc electronic 250w 2x10 speaker enclosure,im driving it with an swr sm 500 on bridge mode, i smelt a lot of smoke and the cab has stopped working, before i bought the cab i checked my swr manual and it is ok to run an 8ohm cab on its own,and also i was turned well down, i think ive blown up the speaker, although thankfully thr swr amp is perfect because i put it back on to my goliath 6x10 cab and everything sounds normal, what would have happened the tc cab?

  3.
That's what I'm wondering too, as I'm tempted to get a BH500...
hi,i bought a bh500 amp last week, played it in a very large venue in belfast on saturday night and the amp lasted 3 songs,,,it made an awful farting noise when i turned up the gain, needless to say its in the box awaiting the courier back to where it came from!

  4. the bass is around 1988,im not sure of wood used but it seems exotic enough,on the fretboard there is what looks like a small blemish but its part of the wood that bernie used,it gives the fingerboard character :) ,circuit board is embossed with "the bass" which is a bernie trademark.
ive only gigged with it for a year{i bought a modulus flea which is my main bass for four years} so its been kept under the bed in the hardwood tolex covered case, ive had it on here for sale last year, but couldnt bear to part with it  but ive seen an awesome bass on here and id really like it :D you know how it is :P .so ive included more photos that will speak for themselves :) .

  5. for sale an early nightingale bass in excellent condition, bought off a fellow basschatter a couple of yeard ago,ive decided to sell it to fund another prospective purchase from another basschatter, the bass has an awesome sound from slap to heavy rock fitted with sims leds and just been serviced a couple of weeks ago£600.
i,ll upload more photos tomorrow it also comes with an excellent hard case.

    Lovely bass though.
Wow! Rude as!,what a comment dude, paul is one of the best players ive seen here in ireland, and could prob hold his own with anyone around! You cant be much of a player yourself if you come out with comments like that!
Paul if i sell my goodfellow i,ll take that bass, good luck :)

  7.
tc BH500 you can buy for £365 new
the cheapest i could find a new SWR SM-500 was £1245

now i didn't spend long looking for the best deal but that doesn't sound like an upgrade there.
Hmm,i see what you mean, it looked good on website, but probably not as good as the swr gear

  8.
:) My band opened for blues great Sherman Robertson last year an his bassist was playing one of these.Absolutely great Jaco"burp"! Good luck with the sale mate.
thanks,an excellent bass to play ive included more photos,i spoke to bernie yesterday and he reckons its from "87 its a bolt on neck, the circuit is complex but there is "the bass"printed on the circuit board,18volt sims led,s and 18v active circuits, the fretboard has a little blemish in the wood near the top whic i think adds to the character of the guitar, class bass sad to see it go.

  9.
Don't understand why this isn't selling. I'd put it back on the bay - mine sold BIN within an hour of my listing it. If you offer to send to Europe - where they're clearly in short supply - it'll go real quick :)
    Chris
didn't know you sold yours chris, I was off basschat for a few weeks,I'm really intrested in a flea,I have an early rumour only thing I'm worried about is would the flea live up to the reputation of the rumour?
