Very reluctant sale here; a Goodfellow Classic 5.

This has recently been serviced and set up and now plays with a low action.

The attached advert shows the specs for the instrument, and materials et cetera.

The Preamp utilises bass/mid/treble cut/boost with pickup pan.

Great balance, flexible sound.

I have several Goodfellow basses and spent sometime locating this, however, as noted in my other adverts, I am having a mercenary clearout of 5 strings for other to use more than I.

Comes with hardcase.

This is a beautiful instrument, with a 35" neck, East Preamp (see attached pic for breakdown of Electronics) essentially Bass/Treb cut/boost with sweepable Mids and pan pickups.

No dings, usual wear and tear for a gigged instrument (e.g. tarnished tuners etc).

The balance is great and the bass plays exceptionally with a very flexible tone.

So why am I selling? I really have little need for a 5 anymore, let alone several. So I need to reduce unnecessary quantities.
I have changed my mind with this before but this time it sadly must leave.

Comes with Softcase, collection from Margate.

So this is my old Bogart Bass
Strung E-C as we speak.
Recently set up and all electronics serviced.
Two years ago I sent it back the luthier to have a new fingerboard.

There are some scuffs to the body but otherwise the bass is in good condition and plays well.
General tarnishing to tuners etc as one would expect on a well gigged instrument.

Pickups are Bartolini

The preamp is active/passive with bass/mid/treble cut/boost and pickup pan.

Neck is 35" and bridge fully adjustable (inc string spacing)

Neck profile is flat and the bass balances perfectly.

Selling as I really have no need for several 5 strings anymore.

Softcase included.

Based in Margate.

5. As I said - up to the seller; just trying to do anyone here a favour and let them know if they are interested then it's worth negotiation as it really feels like a £300/400 bass and that for £700 you could do a lot more for your money. Having owned the bass, this is good advice.

Good luck guys/girls :)

6. Well, most Warwicks are pretty good. I used to own a Thumb for some years. Bottom line is that I understand people buy stuff to sell on for a bit extra, totally up to them, but the ESP is what it is - a copy of a retro fender with an ok but not versatile sound. The Warwick would defo be better sonically but obviously it depends upon what you look for.

7. Hope this isn't against forum rules but anyway, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-1984-ESP-Japan-Horizon-Bass-P-Style-Fender-Tweed-Case-/301336252522?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item46290a506a is a bass I sold for £10 less than I paid for it (around 300/350 I think) - as an experienced bass player, I can honestly say it is not worth this sort of money!! Looks like profiteering to me, or I didnt know what I had but, pricewise, it seems to match 2nd hand warwicks and stingrays, and it certainly does not match those.

I suggest a haggle. You've got to.
