  1. Selling my SWR 2004 Workingman’s rig, Bought it from a fellow BC ‘er as a backup rig some time ago, as such it hasn’t really been used only for a couple of rehearsals.  Not gigging much these days and can’t really justify keeping it now so I’m selling it complete with a new set of speaker and power cables that I bought for it.  Sounds great and potential buyers welcome to try it out and have a brew whilst deciding.

  3. Up for grabs is my 40th Anniversary Relic which I bought from a fellow BC’er some months ago for a project which has now ended.

I’m very happy to hang on to this as the tones from it with these flats on is amazing and it just feels like it’s an old bass to play, but I could do with some funds so let’s see what happens. I’m open to offers or trades so just give me a shout on these 👍
It started life as Squier and has been “lovingly punked” up by a previous owner and it's around 8lbs so not as heavy as the 70s ash body ones - neck has been refinished with amber nitro and no sharp frets and feels authentic and with the flats on it does a nice acoustical thump as well as sharp twang… all round lovely bass

It came with a threaded screw on the bridge cover which I haven’t got around to fixing (usually have this off but the other screw holds it down)

See pics (also screw missing from neck plate has been added now)

Can throw in a gig bag if needed for shipping purposes at buyer’s cost and risk of course,

    thanks for looking 👍

  4. Hi all, just a brief update on the RM500 problem:

Emailed Dave at Ashdown who rang me back to discuss and asked me to send it to him, after about a week (if that! ) he rang me again to say it was fixed!!! Apparently the effects pedal inputs are made to be self cleaning when they are used, however having never used them mine obviously hadn’t and had developed a short and caused the problem.
Dave replaced it and gave it a service and Voila! good as new! and all for the princely sum of £20 plus shipping!!!

don’t you just love a happy ending 👍😉

    Thanks again all😘

    Dave you’re a legend and a true superhero 🦸‍♂️🎸

Great basses, extremely capable but overlooked by most. I really dug the in between positions on the selector switch.

And this finish is possibly even better than the metallic rootbeer they did.

    GLWTS!

I’m with you on the settings Keir, positioning 4 sounds great to my ears 👂😉

Beautiful, I would love to buy that and stick a Warmoth ebony unlined maple Precision neck on there :)

There's someting quite Roscoe Beck about it, another example of Fender doing something a little different and doing it very well indeed (if only they'd do it more often). That's a great price given current USA Fender prices also 👍

    Thanks Chris 👍pm’d
