1.
The only Behringer items I've used are a few pedals. Perfectly adequate for the job, if a tad flimsy. Their QC gets a bad rap from time to time but I've not had any problems.

If Behringer are causing some manufacturers a little wallet-ache, so much the better. It might drive prices down.
Hopefully!

  2. I was pointing out the cosmetical similarities and thought it funny that Loud haven't done anything about it. I've never played through one of the Behringers so I can't comment on the sound or reliability, and I can agree some of the studio/recording stuff does the job. Though I have to admit I kind of see the amps as a sort of car boot rip off of Nike style affair :)

  3. Sorry if this has been bought up before but ....

What the hell lol! Even the naming convention is nearly identical!

My hatred for the company just gets worse.

  4.
Heres mine. Amp is a B200r, Bass is Squier Vintage modified P-bass TB with Jazz Flats and lowered pick up(pole pieces too) and Bass Muff.
Sounds pretty decent and after having many different set ups over the years this one pretty much is where I'll stay for a while. May only be a humble Squier but I really enjoy playing it and surprising people with my sound from this rig.
These looks the bee's!

  5.
Hi Alex it could be the tweeter, broken woofers (speakers) tend to buzz and fart, tweeters/horns crackle, as the can burn out more easily.
Turn off. or fully reduce the level of the tweeter and try again, so you can ommit this option.
    Steve.
I'll have a play when I get home, *edited out extremely stupid question*

Do you know how to open it up so I can check what speakers are in there, or am I better off taking it to PMT?

  6.
Guy, Martin,Chris and Mark at Ashdown all have a great reputation for customer service (ok, I am biased as I know them) and would do anything to help customers with genuine problems/gripes etc.

This one is taking the piss a little though mate, TBH.
So your £800 LED tv stops working after 2.5 years and it's out of the 1 year warranty, would you just dispose of it and get a new one?

I don't think this is taking the piss at all unless the item has not been used in compliance with the manufacturers recommendations.

Your covered by the "Sale of Goods" act for 6 years from when you bought it. The responsibility does lye with PMT so theres no point speaking to Ashdown!
You've fixed it, now sell it, put owning an Ashdown down to experience, buy something better and never darken their door again!!
+1

    I hope everyone's had a good Christmas :)

For sale I have a USA built Ampeg SVT450H

The reason I'm selling this is because I bought the Sandberg JM4 Supreme from Jim and I have completely skint myself! I was going to upgrade anyway so I'm just going to use my sansamp into a keyboard amp for a couple of months until I can get an SVT 3.

As the pictures show, the tolex is spotless. The only bad points are that one of the feet is missing (bought it like this) and the three last sliders have snapped (still enough slider left to be able to adjust). I can provide the perfect size "lid" so the amp sits securely  , I've not had a problem using it like this, hence not replacing the foot (this can be done for a couple of quid).

I'm looking for £320 ono, collection from Stafford Midlands or you can arrange a courier (at your own risk). Feel free to come try it out.

    Thanks

  8. I played the P bass variant in PMT a couple of weeks ago ...

I own an MIA P bass and, I am a MIM snob.

Lets just say I left the store with my tail between my legs, the neck felt soooo good and it had great tone.

So to make me feel better, I went and played with the Sandbergs which were only about £100 more :)
