1. Very useful review, was looking at getting one of these. What carrier handled the shipment, and how long did delivery take? Cheers.
2. I'd look at the sheets for various 4-string songs you like, and in a number of places I'm sure you'll find the bass line has been compromised to some extent by not having access to notes below E. Typically this would be in songs in keys like C or D or Eb. Then you can put the "high" C/D/Eb down an octave where it makes sense to do so - or use octaves etc. That's what I plan to do when my 5-ver arrives in a few days time...
3. Here's some more Bach. It's the first movement of his Trio Sonata No.1 in Eb for organ, BWV525 arranged for three solo instruments. I have played the bass part on the cello and may someday be able to play it on the electric bass. Bach's bass lines are phenomenally powerful, and this piece especially so IMO. Attached are PDF's of the score and bass part, and an MP3. Enjoy!

You can buy a printed manual too.
5. Saw some nice ones at Chandlers Guitars in Kew, London a few days ago. Sorry not sure of brand, http://www.chandlerguitars.co.uk/ .

Hi all

Just taken up the bass after learning the guitar for 18 months or so. It feels very right. Am an Ibanez fan, own RGA 121 and now SR400 (c.1995). Very wide variety of musical interests, based W. London Cheers!
