Total Watts

  1. Opened it up tonight. A bit of burning on the circuit board and broken insulation on cables so a bit of refurb before firing it up.
  2. I picked this 100w valve Super Bass up a couple of days ago in Scotland It had been owned by a Polish guy. I did some internet digging and found nothing. No pictures No info. Eventually I found a link to Reverbs background on the high end Laboga amps. Including this " In 1973, Laboga built an amplifier for Joachim Rzychoń, the then-bass guitarist for the famed Polish band Niebiesko Czarni. This was a turning point for Laboga, whose reputation continued to grow until he became the Polish authority in amplifiers—a title he still holds half a century later .Adam Laboga’s first guitar amplifier—a modified Marshall Plexi design—was called the Diamond Sound. The name and the use exclusive use of 1970s-era technology make a return in Laboga’s premium amplifier series, which technically and visually recalls the Marshall." The article also had the attached photo from 1972. I've emailed Laboga and they have asked to see more photos. You will see the rear has serial no 1 however it looks like i'ts screen printed and the the factory would probably add 001 002 etc. the amp in the old picture has a lighter Diamond sound logo so I expect my amp is a later model. Anyone got any ideas? info? Stories? Opened it up tonight. A bit of careful refurb will be required before firing it up for the first time. Bare wires and burnt circuit board. See photos
