1. Can I ask, any crippling disadvantage with this compared to the latest with direct bypass?
2. Thanks a lot my man...trust me the album sounds very tasty! peace, Cai x www.caimarlegarcia.com www.myspace.com/mrears
3. Hey guys! I'm releasing my debut album, 'Mr. Ears', in an exclusive online launch from my website (see below) on MONDAY 1st JUNE and other online stores to follow. The album is in the jazz/rock fusion tradition but influenced by many many artists...there's an obvious nod to Weather Report in there but check out the clips and info and see what you think! The album features saxophonists Tony Woods, Duncan Eagles and Rob Sell, keyboardists Kit Downes (BBC Jazz Rising Star Award 2008, Empirical, Jim Mullen, Dennis Rollins) and Steve Kite, drummers Martyn Kaine (Natalie Williams) and Dan Paton, guitarist Sagat Guirey (John Etheridge, Mark and Mike Mondesir, Robert Mitchell), Freddie Gavita (BBC Jazz Rising Star 2008) on trumpet, and Stuart Semple (Peter Erskine) on percussion...basically, absolute BADASSES! There are teaser clips up on my myspace page at www.myspace.com/mrears and clips from different tunes at www.caimarlegarcia.com, but you can also visit All Bass No Treble (http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2009/05/21/cai-marle-garcia-mr-ears/) who have detailed the launch info and also included a FULL free track as part of this article on their website. Check it out! The tune is 'Another One Gone', the opening track from 'Mr. Ears'. Tracks from the album have also been played on BBC Radio here in the UK over the last weekend, and grab a copy of June's 'Bass Guitar Magazine' where there is mention of me and the launch of the album - it's out this week! Check out what some other guys have to say about 'Mr. Ears'... "'Mr. Ears' sounds immense. Great solos, beautiful touch and wonderfully melodic...and the writing is brilliant." - Bassist Laurence Cottle, on Cai and 'Mr. Ears'. "Cai Marle-Garcia is a fretless phenomenon. He is one of those very rare players that is connected to the portal, that somehow allows him to play with a pure spirit. No filters, no ego trips...just the pure joy of musical genius. While there are many players that excel at mimicking my dear friend, the late great Jaco Pastorius, Cai has a certain spark of originality that will someday develop into a full-blown firestorm, of music yet to be heard." -Dann Glenn Guitarist/Composer Thanks for your support guys and I hope there are people that dig the album and what I'm doing... peace, Cai Marle-Garcia x www.caimarlegarcia.com www.myspace.com/mrears
