I played one of those at a shop a while back and it actually felt surprisingly good. The shop however, sucked, and didn't let me plug in to an amp to try it out properly.
-
Yeah, postage should be around £5
-
There is a bit of wear but I think it looks worse than it actually is because everything it's a bit mucky.
-
It's a P-bass neck, 41mm at the nut and around ~64mm at the heel I believe.
-
I got this off Dangerboy a while back but I haven't got around to using it. It could do with a bit of a clean but it's in good condition otherwise.

This piece was written for piano, but mine is horribly out of tune right now.

Satie's compositions always sound, to me at least, like they have lots of empty space and this piece doesn't have a time signature or bar lines, although it does have some interesting performance directions such as "open your mind and "very lost" - I might have taken these to the extreme. -
Thanks for the info.
So by the looks of things, it shouldn't be too difficult (not impossible, at least) to rewire my vol/vol setup for vol/balance? -
I'm in Sheffield.

Bump!
Offers, anybody? Or trades for anything?
This really isn't doing much other than taking up space and making me want to buy a cab when I look at it. -
String spacing is 17mm at the bridge, although I believe these Warwick bridges are adjustable.
I'd rather not post this bass at the moment I'm afraid, sorry. -

Good luck!
I remember this time last year I was preparing for a bass grade too. Which board are you doing it with? -
That looks great. I'm thinking of building something similar myself over the summer having seen this thread.
Did you get B&Q to cut the MDF on their big panel saw? I recently sold my bandsaw and I'm not convinced I can cut straight lines with a jigsaw! -
Bump!
The head isn't much use to me at the moment because I no longer own a cab to run it into! -
I think your old Streamer Jazzman balances pretty well.
-
Damn, that's temptingly close......
-
Just did a deal for James' Streamer Jazzman. Great guy to deal with. Has a cool dog too
-
Stunning bass. I happen to have an almost identical one
-
It has a couple of dings and the bridge is currently blocked. £130 anybody? -

Paddy, thanks for the offer but I'm not a massive fan of that body shape. -

I've got a fretted maple/maple Mighty Mite neck on my MIM Jazz if you're interested?

It looks like a fantastic bass but to me the appeal of Thumbs (and Warwicks in general) is the Wenge/Bubinga.
