1. For those waiting on pics - I'll get them done ASAP!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

badgerific - Does that mic have an integrated lead? From what I read there are two versions of the mic - one which has XLR-jack, the other xlr-xlr, and it suggests the leads are integrated? Even if not integrated, which lead did yours come with? Also, what is the model of the PA you mention?

As for the whole balanced and unbalanced thing, check this out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balanced_audio
http://www.blue-room.org.uk/wiki/Balanced
http://www.blue-room.org.uk/wiki/Unbalanced_Signal

I looked at the manual for the Cube and it says the Aux in is TRS. The thing is, are you planning to plug the mic straight into the CUbe? If so the result will be pretty poor because you need to boost the mic signal first with a mic pre-amp. If that's what you are planning to do, what make/model is the pre-amp? Sorry if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs (whatever the fcuk that means)! OTOH, if you are not sure what I'm going on about then ask away and I'll try to help where I can..... (maybe we can take it to PMs at that point).

Cheers

2. velvetkevorkian - that's right mate.

badgerific - can you let me know what gear you intend to hook up. I can then let you know exactly what you need and could also PM you a brief explanation of balanced/unbalanced!

iamapirate - I do have a couple of used Phono - MiniJack leads. Both are around 4 metres. They have metal jacks (gold plated on the phonos). One of the phono jacks is slightly damaged - the round section that slips onto the female socket is divided into four parts (as is usual with these). One of these four parts has broken off. Hope that makes sense. WIth that in mind, both leads will be a fiver.

3. dudewheresmybass - I'll email you a pic along with the vinyl etc list, once I have an addy.

iamapirate - Good luck. Hope you wake up full of the joys of autumn! RE: phono -> RCA. I'll get back to ASAP.....just checking now.

badgerific - the lead listed is XLRm to XLRf. I *might* have an XLR to Jack lead if that's what you need. But first could you tell me: 1. Do you need the XLR to be male or female? 2. What length? 3. Should the jack be mono/unbalanced or stereo/balanced?

4. Having a mass clear out before moving house........

There's a lot of Metal, Thrash, Death, etc. (epecially the vinyl) amongst it all, but lots of other stuff as well. A real mixture! I've listed it all on a spreadsheet, so please get in touch if you'd like to have a look and I'll get a copy of the spreadsheet to you.....

If you like collecting all things metal - then you might well like what you see!!!

Cheers

5. Hi

I bought this as a back up guitar and have since bought another 7 string (my fourth!) so here it is up for sale. It has seen very little use and is in good condition. There is one ding on the bottom/back edge of the body (see pic). Plus the matt finish has worn just a little where the picking hand rests (which happens to all matt finish guitars). Aside from this, the guitar is in excellent condition.

The bat inlay on the fretboard looks fantastic and is really unique. The guitar also plays great (especially the seventh string) due to the extended scale length (26.5").

Here are the specs as listed on the Schecter website:

7-String Electric Guitar
Construction: Bolt-On
Body: Basswood
Neck: Maple
Scale: 26.5
Tuning: B/E/A/D/G/B/E
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Frets: 24 X-Jumbo
Inlays: Black Pearl & Bats
Binding: Black
Pickups: EMG-HZ 7-A set
Electronics: Vol/Tone/3-way Switch
Bridge: TOM w/Thru-Body
Tuners: Grover
Hardware: Black

See: http://www.schecterguitars.com/

I have re-set the guitar up ready for the sale, including a full clean up, oiled neck (using Fret Doctor Bore oil from the USA), intonation, action, etc. etc. I used 10-46+56 gauge strings. However, I would be happy to re-set the guitar up for a buyer after discussing with them what their preferred specs and styles are.

Pictures added below. I can take more if there is anything you would like to see. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PICS WERE TAKEN BEFORE I DID THE CLEAN UP AND SET UP!

Location: Norwich, Norfolk, UK

Price: £400. All reasonable offers considered. These models are retailing at £549 in the UK.

7. Hi

Best shipping quote I can get is £32. That's only insured to £100 though and that cannot be increased. However, if we did payment through Paypal then their Buyer protection would cover any potential problems with the postage.

I'd really be looking to get £500 for the head and footswitch seeing as the heads are almost a grand new now. Plus if we go down the Paypal route they'll be an additional £20 for me to pay in fees. So with shipping we'd be looking at around the £550 mark. Saying that though, I don't mind going halves of shipping/fees - that's what seller have done for me in the past when I have bought stuff. So I'd be looking at £525 through Paypal all incl.

Let me know what you think mate

Cheers

8. Hi

Putting a couple of Seven stringers up for sale - this and an Ibanez RG7620 (listed elsewhere).

This is a beautiful guitar in all respects: playability, sounds, and looks. I bought it as a back up guitar and have since bought another 7 string (my fourth!) so here it is up for sale. It has seen very little use and is in good condition. There is one ding on the bottom/back edge of the body. Plus the matt finish has worn a little where the picking hand rests (which happens to all matt finish guitars). Aside from this, the guitar is in excellent condition.

These models are becoming increasingly hard to get hold of in the UK. The bat inlay on the fretboard looks fantastic and is really unique. The guitar also plays great (especially the seventh string) due to the extended scale length (26.5").

Here are the specs as listed on the Schecter website:

However, I would be happy to re-set the guitar up for the winning bidder after discussing with them what their preferred specs and styles are.

The guitar does not have a hardcase, but I do know of a firm who specialise in shipping large/awkward/fragile things. They're great. Postage would be £25 all in. Also, I would be happy to deliver it myself if you are not a million miles away....... Or meet half way......... Get in touch to discuss.

I've got loads of pics so let me know if you would like to see some or have any other questions.

9. Hi

Putting a couple of Seven stringers up for sale - this and a Schecter Damien-7 (listed elsewhere).

Made In Japan 1999.

This guitar is in great condition, with just a few very small paint chips on the edge of the body. Unfortunately, Ibanez basswood guitars are notorious for this. However, this guitar - considering it's age - has very few and very small/minor chips compared to most other Ibanez's I have seen and owned. They have been touched up as well and are only apparent if you are really looking for them.

I set up guitars and would be happy to set this up to your specification before the sale. The set up will be included in the price. It may just mean it will be a couple more days before I can get it to you!

The stock pick-ups have been upgraded to DiMarzio Blazes in the bridge and neck - £170 worth of pick-ups alone! They sound and look great in this guitar.

The RG7620 has a lo-pro edge trem (which many believe - including me - is better than the newer Edge, especially because the pivot posts are the locking type which aids tuning stability). Please NOTE: the bridge has been changed from the usual black one found on these models to a Cosmo black one. It is still the same model bridge (lo-pro edge), and the knife edges are in better condition than the bridge which was originally on there (hence the reason for the change). I also think the bridge adds somthing to the sexiness of it! For those unfamiliar, the Cosmo hardware on Ibanezs is like a mid to dark grey.

The neck is super slim and feels great. The fingerboard has been oiled regularly with Fret Doctor oil from the USA - top quality stuff!
