4. Just to let you all know I have changed the year of manufacture after I have investigated the serial number..I was told in a shop that the year of manufacture was 1998 but I was convinced I bought it earlier but as I kept no record was not 100%. Anyway a website for Gibson serial numbers does confirm this bass was made in 1994 sorry for confusion :-) J
Anyone interested in this bass please just PM or Email me Regards J
5. Hi Everyone!! Hope you like the Gibson Les Paul Bass....Tell me what you think it is worth??? I would be grateful for your ideas.... Regards J
Yes. Would be useful to have a guideline idea on price as I guess sensible might mean different things to different people. You may then get offers in your range of expectations. If you dont know waht it may be worth , then it's worthwhile asking us, we're pretty knowledgable and despite your previous experiences, we are pretty friendly. We dont really eat newbies for breakfast. Honest.
6. [b]This bass guitar is a Black Gibson Les Paul Bass and is in lovely condition with chrome hardware. This guitar was a special order made with Gibson via The Bass Center, London as black was not a production line colour.. Its a 1994 model (Gibsons Centenial year) and this means its made with the best woods that Gibson have ever used...(Brazilian Mahogany Hard Wood Body and Ebony neck)....This comes with the Gibson guitar case (the combination lock is broken and will not close) :-) Please make cash offer....West Yorkshire :-) I have been doing some checking on the serial number as I was convinced I purchased this earlier than 1998 as I originally advertised. I checked numerous serial number websites and found on the following site http://www.guitardaterproject.org/gibson.aspx and entered SERIAL NUMBER ON BASS 94028752 and it gave the following result:- Guitar Info Your guitar was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, USA , 1994 Production Number: 028752 Gibson: Nashville Gibson’s Nashville plant was opened in Tennessee 1974. All electric models and some acoustic models currently made at this factory. This facility has an average production rate of 220 guitars a day. Each guitar is built by hand and takes about 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Note: Most hollow and semi-hallow body guitars are made at a separate plant in Memphis Tennessee. This facility has an average production rate of 40 guitars a day.
