  1. Hi folks! Thanks for looking I've got an Italia Mondial Sportster for sale, 4 years old but it's only been used for one out of those 4 years. Shocking I know... Finally forced to sell it. It's such a nice looking vintage styled bass, with some pretty unique features. Two pickups, one active and one passive, both with their own controls AND jack sockets! So you can either use one or the other or (my preference) wire both of them to an amp to produce an awesome sound. Kinda like a rick, but can also get some really punchy tones. It's not a very well known brand but I implore you to check out some reviews on it. I bought it for £500 new, selling for £250. Perfect condition apart from a ding on the back of the neck. Only a small one, the picture makes it look worse I promise! I'm based in Birmingham but will package it up real secure for you if you require postage.
  2. This bass caught my eye a few years ago due to it's stylish vintage looks. It really stands out. When I tried one out it FAR exceeded my expectations. You can get a huge variety of sounds out of it due to the massive bridge humbucker and the active piezo bridge pickup. These can be used separately or combined!! Really unique feature. I've found that generally it has a great vintage sound, probably to do with the flatwounds I've had on it, but if you're not keen on that muddy sound then you can fiddle with the dials to get more punchy tones. I know it's not a mainstream brand but please take time to check up on reviews, Italia are an extremely high quality manufacturer. They dont make this anymore so you'll be hard pressed to find one elsewhere. I'm mostly a bedroom player but it has been gigged a few times. Unfortunately theres a little ding on the back of the neck, the photo makes it look worse than it is as I'm not too hot at photography. I'm so sad to let this one go, but yes times are hard and I'm amassing a hefty student debt.. Hope this goes to a really good home. I'll supply it in a gig bag, I live in Birmingham but will post. Looking for about £250, cost me £500 new!! Thanks Harry
  3. I've got a lovely italia mondial sportster bass in baby blue thats been sitting around not doing much for the past year. Cost £500 new, great vintage sounding bass in excellent condition. No longer made by Italia so this is the only place you'll pick one up! Read the harmonycentral reviews to find out about the quality of this bass! Only one small ding to the back of the neck. Has piezo pickup on bridge (the bridge is an active pickup) and a nice big humbucker at the neck. There are jack sockets to each of these pickups, with the option to use them separately or together. Two tone controls and a volume for the humbucker, and a tone and volume control for the piezo. I fitted it with flat wounds for the best sound in my opinion, but you can get a great variety of tones out of it. I've owned it for 3 years and it has rarely left my bedroom. Played live a handful of times. £275ono. Would prefer local pickup (in Birmingham), but will post if necessary.
